The Clothing Wars

Nymh's picture

2ndclasscitizen's recent post got me to thinking about the psychology behind why BM's always throw a fit and make such huge drama over the skid's clothing. It seems so childish to us for them to go apesh*t when we do something that seems so simple like washing the skid's clothes. Our SS's BM insists that all clothes come home with him to her house - even clothes that we buy. I think that by doing these things, the BM's are trying to make sure the kids "understand" that the NCP's house is just somewhere they go to "visit" but that they really LIVE at BM's house.

Sooner or later she will have to do it as she will want her return but till then they will want blood out of a stone from us...

BM Called BF Today

Nymh's picture

She opened with explaining that she didn't want to cause a fight. She then told BF that SS was still having headaches and she brought him to the doctor who agreed that it was probably due to stress. BF asked, "Is SS going to school?" Uh, yeah, BM said. "Good." BF said. BM started to complain about how BF is putting stress on SS with his custody lawsuit. "Do you have a job?" BF asked her. She replied that she did, that the paperwork wasn't finished and she didn't know when she would be starting, but that she does have a job.

Crazy is as Crazy does...

How weird is this story?

So we were all at the park celebrating SD6's birthday. BM included. Well the sun was a shinin' and I noticed that SD9's back was starting to look pretty red even though the kids had lathered up in sunscreen a few hours earlier. Being that I didn't feel like setting down my margarita and gooping her up myself, I decided to let DH know and handle it.

SO the conversation went like this...

secret visitation w/ skids????

Chel Bell's picture

I don't know when we are going to Florida to see the skids yet, we can't even think about leaving till the past due support is payed up, the writ is cancelled (so DH will not be arrested when he hits the state), and we have $$ to spend on this venture. It may be a while, BUT...we were talking about how to carry out the visit.

1 year coming up

and my F can finally file for divorce. Did any of you go with your H/F when he went to the lawyer for the first time. My F wants me to go with him bc he is nervous and I want to go but I dont want to hurt his case either. Given we live together and his ex lives with her bf I know that can in court be used against him. So should I stay home and write out everything for him to give to the lawyer or let him. Because Im afraid he will be really nervous and forget half of what to tell him!!!If so what types of things do they ask you or what are we in for?

I feel that my wife has married me only for the step kids...

I had another blog about my wife's teenagers, specifically, my issues with her son. As part of the custody agreement, he stays with his grandfather for the summer (about 350 miles away from us). He calls her up and says that he's old enough to make his decisions (he just turned 16), and he's quitting school and moving with his grandfather next school year.

Waiting for the other shoe to drop....

I am really trying very hard NOT to be negative, b/c I generally am NOT a negative person, but I seem unable to shake this feeling I have. A little background....in Feb, SD16 went to live with BM. The day after DH got home from the hospital last week, SD called and wanted to come home. She said she hated it at BM's (no surprise to us). I reluctantly agreed to it out of guilt more than anything else. Dh had just been in a bad accident, and I was just so glad he was alive, that I probably would have said "yes" to just about anything. I also felt sorry for SD.
