Bear with me- this is long

dbsojo's picture

So Mic tried to wait until all of ss's buddies left from the sleepover to call yesterday. We were at his brother's house (I give his neice piano lessons), so he used their phone to call- seeing if Ms. Perfect would finally answer the phone. Well, she did. She told Mic that ss was already down at the shore for the day, and that she didn't know what time he would be home (like he's a teenager or something-a mother should know what time to expect an 8 year old on a schoolnight).

Fed Up

Hi, I am pretty new to this so here goes. I have always had great maternal instincts and feel that I am very fair but firm when it comes to my parenting decisions. I have a stepdaughter who is 8 and a stepson who is 14. Both are great and loving but lately it is getting more difficult to be close with them. I don't know if it is something that changed with me or them. To start the 8 year old is an only child at her moms and is incredibly spoiled, I mean spoiled.

Why is it so hard for him to stop letting BM run everything!

missangie1978's picture

Well last night fiancée got to sleep on the couch because I blew up, couldn't take it anymore. BM's been calling the last 3 weeks spouting all kinds of crap about me and making up false accusations and threatening to move back and take ss way from fiancée and it's pretty much been hell. This all started because she wouldn't sign the final custody papers (the same ones she agreed to before she moved) and she didn't file a response so our lawyer is filing for default and we go to court this Thursday.

He's clean

Steamed's picture

SS drug test was clean, tested SD also, she was clean too.

Wife was really relieved ( she was shaking and turning white waiting for the results), she gave him a hug and thanked him for staying clean, I shook his hand and told him to keep it up.

I told my wife that I was glad that he was clean, but that there are still issues that need to be addressed with him and she said "one step at a time" , so I guess everything else that needs to be said to him will be forgotten since he made it past this hurdle.

DH and why he only lies about the ex-wife.....???

Stepmom_C's picture

Am I the only frustrated new wife on this topic..? It's really weird. SDs (5 & 10) live with us yet DH continues to tell lies about the ex. I completely trust him that he doesn't want her back or anything but it doesn't make sense to me!! Most recent lie was that he agreed to let Biomom take them on a 2 week trip and told me their aunt was going as well (aunt is caring and keeps them more than Biomom)..Well, kids tell me last night aunt isn't going on the trip.

Does anyone else have to deal with this?

Why does BM send us emails pretending to be SS? She throws in a few misspelled words here and there to try to make us believe it's really him, but there's proper punctuation, grammar, sentence structure...even apostrophes for crying out loud! The kid is 8! It's pretty damn obvious it's her! But no, it couldn't be, because at the end it says "I know you think mom tells me to say things but she's outside right now."

Well Suprise...Suprise..

Well suprise...suprise...Guess who is probably going to have to repeat the fourth grade???? Her teacher sent a rather curt letter home address to "MR and MRS ------) about MY Hell's "lack of responsibility" with her school and home work and said the results are that she will have to repeat the fourth grade.

BAD scene at Friday night pick up

Caitlin's picture

Where to begin? My fiance got 4 comp tickets to a children's play so we arranged a surprise sleepover for SD with her friend (the one who came over on the last visit - we'll call her BFF). BFF is SD's friend from swimming. BFF's mom and BM are friendly because they both volunteer for swim team and their daughters are best friends. Well, we didn't tell BM about our plans, not because it was a secret, but because we didn't think it necessary and honestly, we knew she'd try to control it or prevent it in some way because she just wouldn't like it.
