In a now deleted thread asking if a custody or visitation can be stopped due to a person be a poor parent it was asked if teachers, school officials and other impeccable witnesses condemn the individual as a poor parent. In my research and direct experience it takes a truly incredible chain of events and heinous behavior by a parent to take custody or visitation away. To the detriment of the child. IMHO.
The answer is often yes, it is extremely difficult to take custody or visitation even from a truly bad parent.
Yes, excuse the bad English up there... but the guys did get me thinking. I have no brothers. I have 2 older sisters that put me in my place whenever and however I need it and it's not always gentle. My mom and dad never treated us as strictly "girls" - we had no real gender rules in playing or working. If we wanted to do something we were encouraged to do it. People say I remind them of Sheryl Crow - a kind of "rock chick" type of girl, which also fits in to what I do for a living. Not too girly, but not Chastity Bono either!
Having trouble with all the abbreviations. think I have most of them figured out but can't get OT.
Its been a while since I posted and we got the custody eval report today and met with BF's attorney. Court is next week. No surprise the report shows BM in a glowing and wonderful light and BF as inadequate and clueless regarding the care of FSS1. The good news is the report recommends more time for BF and that BM do equal time in transporting FSS1. Currently BF does like 75% of the driving.
I cant say that I am entirely shocked. This Thursday my DH swapped hours with a co-worker to go to mediation with BM.DH called me about 20 mins after their session should have started to tell me BM hadnt shown up yet.
I know that most people on here do NOT want BM in their home, nor do they want DH to go to BM home. We have always been different in that regard and have always enforced the "come into our home when you pick up child" so that it doesn't look awkward or hostile.
Well, DH has gotten BM to agree to child support. Granted, she gets 2 years to pay us and she gets to pay us less than she would if we took her to court, but she feels that he is ripping her off.
I'm 25 weeks pregnant and I'm so annoyed with DH and SS. Everything they do bothers me.
On Monday I went grocerry shopping to pick up some items for my lunches since I was starting a new job and I get up in the morning and guess who had pretty much eaten everything I'd gotten, yep SS. Seriously who eats 2 lbs of grapes, 6 bananas, 6 yogurt, peaches, lunch meat etc... all in less then 1 day? That's not including breakfast, lunch and dinner that I made him.
It all came to me... I got it...
When I went to the www.bonusfamilies.com website I remember readign the Biological mothers complaining of the term "BM" because of Bowel Movement... }:) LOL
I guess they NEEDED to come back with something... and guess what? Bonus mom makes BM as well...

So this Wednesday (last day of school for SD13), DH picks her up from school and takes her to her counseling appointment (the day was changed so BM could take and surprise, she backed out!).
DH picks her up and tries to engage SD in conversation during the drive, asking her about the last day of school and did she get phone numbers and emails for her friends here, where we live?
