On another night/day, I'll tell you of 6 flags and Paul McCartney...but that is not tonight. Sorry. In no mood for that insanity. (OY)
So...I'll tell of TONIGHT.
DH and I weren't really arguing, just in a disagreement about something (SD16's step g'ma sent her money for GRADUATION...um, she's at least a year away from that and of course I told SD to call her and say thank you but I am not graduating (don't want to steal from an elderly lady, ya know?).
Ok, I know there are guys here, but please read my posts and several others about our "princesses" and you will understand.
I have downloaded an audio book that my BF had read. It is called "Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters" and the more I listen, the more I want to be physically ill. I was listening this morning when I got so upset that I am not sure I will be able to listen to more of it!
This book is spewing how special a father is to his daughter. It is trying to show fathers how important they are to their daughter.
Ok, I can live with that... until....
ok in my previous blog i explained how in the court order it says dh can call the skids 1x daily "for a reasonable amount of time"
well since bm's moved the kids outta state we've talked to them ALMOST every day but she will tell skids to get off the phone or make it short or hurry up you've got sh*t to do after being on the phone with us for like 5 min (our conversations have been between 2 1/2 - 7 minutes each ya i timed each one) each time.they say they will call back later but never do and sd-11 has told us if she uses the phone too much she gets in trouble.
My stepdaughter is 22 years old. I'm getting to the place where I am so fed up. I want to say to my husband that big changes need to be made in this household or else. She's here because she was having trouble with financial aid and other expenses in her former college (in another state) so we told her it would be ok to move back to our state and move in with us in order to finish up (this may have been a big mistake). When she arrived, it was obvious she did not expect to do any or very little housework.
Today was a family lunch in celebration of SS4's bday. We're having a party next week but we had a family lunch today. I ended up taking a separate vehicle than DH, I had BS1 with me & I'd had to run a few errands first. I found that skipping the part where I had to go to BM's (low income) apartment & wait in the truck (I never go in there, I make DH enter the dragon's lair by himself) while DH fetched SK's really saved me from a lot of stress & as a result, I had a lot more patience with them today.
I got my first response yesterday and it made me cry. In a good way. Just to know someone out there understands the way I feel. I have cared for these two boys SS6 and SS11 in our custody for 3 years.
and SD, 8, is already sick???
My DH called BM this afternoon to remind her that he has visitation on Sunday for a special occasion. Also he needed to know where SD was living now since supposedly BM was moving again.
Nope, it is not an exclamation. It is World of Warcraft. And in a nutshell, I have a 19 year old who is working 12-20 hours at McDonalds, not going to school at all, sponging off his mother including car with gas and insurance paid for him - who sits on his butt all day pretending he is a freakin' fighter on that stupid online game.
So my mother bless her heart decided to take all three of my kids yesterday. I love my mom I really do. My SS6 had a rough time as usual and didn't feel that it was nessasary to share and listen while he was there. I guess he was splashing my one year old in the face repeatly with water. NOW let me explain that my 12 month old can take that cause he loves water. but let me induldge a little about my lovely stepdad. My stepdad I get it I understand the pain that he had when he was raising my brother and eye.
Crayon remarked in another blog about people who put others' wants before their needs have more health issues.
I have certainly experienced this. I'm an alcholic and am celebrating 7 years of sobriety. I'm not an alcoholic because I had a SD but my drinking did escalate during the stressful teen years. My DH would call me at work and suggest that I work late because the tension at the house was so bad. I notice now that when planning the various family holiday functions that include SD - I clench my jaw and grind my teeth and suffer from TMJ and migraines.
