Where’s your socks?
How many of us are guilty of putting on close-toed shoes without socks? After Winter (warm, fuzzy socks rule!), people often forego socks in favor of letting their feet 'breathe'. Not the best idea. There’s that word some folks luuuuuuuv to hate….
Are you doing your cardio?
Cardiovascular exercise (Cardio), also known as aerobic exercise, is anything that raises your heart rate and makes you breathe heavily. Carido helps increase the strength of your heart and lungs and can also help you improve your endurance during workouts. Cardio helps you burn fat and calories for weight loss and makes your heart stronger so it doesn’t have to work as hard to pump blood. It increases your lung capacity and helps reduce your risk of heart attack, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, and improves mental health.
Happy Tuesday, STalkers! Sorry I'm so late, but it's been a crazy day.
There are days (weeks!) when it's impossible to anticipate what will happen and if you'll be glued to your desk or need your running shoes. Today is a running shoes kinda day. No doubt about - running around with a cup of coffee can be hazardous!!
What do you to when you're so busy running around that you barely have time to go the bathroom, much less eat? Candy bar? Protein bar? Bag of pretzels? Protein shake? Nuts?
LET'S GET WET!!!
And by wet, I mean your body. On the inside.
Your body depends on water to survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work properly. Your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste, and lubricate your joints. Water is needed for overall good health.
Who likes being in/on the water? Well, tt’s that time of year when water sports and activities can be outdoors – woo hoo!!!
There are many benefits to aquatic exercise, including physical and psychological. Swimming and other aquatic activities can be valuable to a person’s overall physical and mental health. People who are recovering from an injury, have a disability, or experience stress would benefit highly from aquatic therapy.
Or, in my case, Monday 2.0. Blech! The good news is that I'm down 2 pounds,. The bad news - NO idea how I did it. Must have been the protein in those maple-bacon donuts I had on Saturday...
What is a childhood activity that you still enjoy? If you say "None" or can't think of anything, that's sad! I don't care how old you are...SAD. A trip back to childhood can be FUN and possibly reduce your stress level.
Things I still enjoy:
Happy Tuesday, STalkers! Sorry I'm so late to the game, but this day has been nuckin' futz!!!
How goes it with you? As crazy as it's been for me, I'm getting in MY steps, my boss's steps, and a couple of my coworkers...
When you're not where you want to be weight-wise, what do you do to make yourself feel better and looking your best (don't say eat chocolate....)? Do you style your hair a certain way? Wear a particular outfit?
Happy Tuesday, STalkers! I don't know about you, but I started this week 'off'. I was sick over the weekend (some kind of stomach virus) and still feeling Blah. I don't even have the energy to get around at my normal walk-run pace. Aniki needs a nap! And me needing a nap means I'm still not 100%.
What do YOU do after an illness when you're not 100% and out of energy? Give it more time? Or try to push it?
Ix-nay on the oning-tay. It's a Terribly Tubby Tuesday for me, STalkers. The boss brought in FIVE DOZEN DONUTS to welcome aboard the new employees. With less than 3 hours of sleep, Bad Aniki snagged 2 donuts to fight the craptastic aftereffects of insomnia. On the flip side, it's so bloody hot in here, that we're all sweating it off. Well, some of 'it'.
Speaking of sweating...
Who remembers when people (mostly women) wrapped themselves up in Saran Wrap or wore some vile suit and laid out in the sun to SWEAT OFF THE POUNDS? In-freakin-sane!
It's that day again, STalkers! Tone-up/Tubby Tuesday is here. Someone asked me if there is a full moon. Well, aside from my white hiney when I'm nekkid, the REAL full moon is April 19th, which is also Good Friday.
