im watching it right now if you haven't watched it you should its a good movie it really validates the feelings we have as being step motheers and it shows how this stepmom deals with the crazy BM in her life idk i like it just wanted to share that with you guys it make help you with whatever your going through along with this site 
I just needed to come in here and vent real quick so that I can continue to only talk good about my sd's BM around her. SD and I have made SURE that we only talk good about BM or we don't talk about her at all in front of my sd. As a result my sd still thinks her mother is the greatest despite the fact that she moved 2 states away and only sees her 1 week during Christmas and then 2 and 1/2 months out of the summer. She doesn't send birthday presents and when she buys her Christmas gifts she keeps them at her house.
Maybe it's just time to go. I've tried so hard as all of you have too. My sd was HORRIBLE to me today and my husband didn't do anything. I work 3 jobs, take care of the kids and the house, and get 0 in return. Maybe I'm a moron and it's just time to go.
I have an amazing ss. He is well mannered, a great student, a great athlete, and is well-rounded. He loves his dad and has always treated me with an amazing amount of respect. I can't begin to tell you how grateful and fortunate I am that we have such a loving and open relationship.

Well I managed to "nice" my way through the birthday party. SD was civil. Having my mom and sis here helped. DH did more than I expected and he's actually cleaning up most of the leftover mess. I think I survived.
I put a lot of effort into this though and SD did NOT thank me. Everyone else did.

I have become close friends with Loghead's high school sweetheart. Weird, right? She and I have worked together for the last five years. That's what I get for moving back to his hometown area! We've always chatted, and been pleasant with one another... Strange how she and Loca Grande, his exwife- are a lot alike, but I am nothing like them.
My bio-son Gibby has many of my bad habits. Frankly, it is not in our genetic code to drive past the Golden Arches. and we look it!
I started WW in August and have lost 5% of my starting body weight- about 8 pounds.
3 weeks later, Gibby and I started a health class for kids at our local hospital. In 7 weeks, Gibby has grown 1/2 inch taller; lost 3 pounds, dropped his blood pressure, lost 2 inches off his belly and dropped his BMI down 2 levels.
It's been since early August since we had a real date. The deal was, I got a night out once a month. Money was not required, but we had to be OUT of the house, TOGETHER. I find I get bitter and resentful after about 5 weeks without one on one time with Loghead.
I think I was able to pass some of it by this fall. The house is different without Princess here. Packing her off to college was one of the best things I ever did for my marriage. LOL
This is what came out of SS8's mouth as we're walking inside. I asked him why he said that and he says "because I get headaches from caffeine." I've heard of this before but in this situation, I believe a lot of this is based on information BM fed him to explain why he gets headaches. At one point, we were ready to send him to a neurologist to explain why he was getting them so much, but then DH and I took him to an optometrist, got him some glasses, and he's been fine. So now i want to say "Really? Gee, that's funny - did you get a headache after eating that chocolate bar?
