Serenity is the name of the game today

sadstep's picture

Well skids are gone and bf and I have time to ourselves in the evenings. We have returned to calm. No arguments, quiet, productive household. I have wiped all the germs that they bring out with clorox ha ha - wiped all of the dirty fingerprints off the woodwork, restocked the fridge with beer and wine and food other than yogurt and pudding. (mean step mom!!) He leaves Saturday for two weeks during which both of our birthdays will pass.

How often is too often to talk to the ex

BoutToBreak's picture

My husband and BM talk to each other on the phone everyday only when they are at work away from their significant others. And since my husband is on my phone bill, I can see when they call and text and he will still erases texts and calls off of his phone and lies about it, umm hello I can see it and he knows it. Which if I question him about it and he actually acknowledges it, he will say he doesn't tell me b/c I gripe about it...well that is true but she has written in her journal she still has feelings for him and her kids saw it and asked MIL if they were getting back together.

OT - Need encouragement on my new healthy lifestyle

onehappygirl's picture

I can't diet - I always fail. Instead, I have to embrace a new lifestyle. I need your help. I need encouragement. I need accountability.

Here is the ugly truth. I am 5'2", small boned. I weigh 204 pounds. I'm 40-years-old. I wear a (gasp) size 20 petite jeans. I carry most of my weight in my tummy, butt and thighs (I'm a definite pear shape).

Why Is It So Hard For Bio-Parents To See The Positive?

You have freed yourself from a previous relationship where your needs were not fulfilled. You likely were cheated on, used, abused, and disrespected. You have entered a new relationship with someone who is nothing like your previous partner. This person adores you, is faithful, and accepts that you have a child with someone else. So does this make you happy? It seems, only for a brief moment.

my step daughter has MRSA

lisa1971's picture

well i was wanting a little bit of info on MRSA if any of you know. So my step daughter had to have hers lanced open then the hospital said 3 weeks later that it wasnt MRSA but it was a STAFF INFECTIONS. Well what is the difference is my question? Then 1 month later she had another boil(sore) pop up and it popped on its own and she didnt go to the Dr or anything and so there was no meds involved. So here is my question. First she wanted to move in with us and i said NO WAY, first cuz of MRSA and second she is just so lazy and disrespectful.

FH is on my NERVES for the past week!

Manda's picture

I admit that I'm unemployed, but I'm taking care of my car payment, insurance, the household electric and gas and partial grocery bill for myself and him AND HIS two BRATS...plus I make all their breakfast, lunches and dinners....and do all their laundry and clean the house but apparently that's not enough for FH. I took down half the XMAS (and I say X-mas for a reason...I HATE the holidays and hated it even more this year) decorations....in the house today and I was happy with half because FH decorates like the griswald's....
