Maybe it sounds selfish or stupid...but I am dreading telling the skids that I'm pregnant because I don't want BM to know yet. The main reason right now is that our families don't know yet (including my dad and fiance's mom), and I don't want someone I can't stand to know about the happy news before my most loved ones do!
DH and and I have had a lot of problems since he and I got married. In the beginning most of them were cause by BM and her jealousy. He made a lot of mistakes in the way he dealt with her which cause a great deal of mistrust and hurt feelings. I blame most of our issues on BM because our life was so good until she decided to turn into a nut case.
BM finally took SS over to the house of his friend who died, to pay his respects to the parents. BM walked in, went over to the grieving mother, and the first words out of her mouth were, "What are you doing to do with the body? Are you going to bury it here or send it back to (home country)?"
:jawdrop:
What an insensitive c***. Sorry for the use of that word, but that's disgusting. She didn't even say "I'm sorry" or anything first.
SO was not there at the time - BM's cousin was there and told SO what happened.
One day about 4 years ago when I was pregnant we took my teenager and her friends to Dublin for a concert. SO went in with them because they weren't 16 yet. I sat in the lobby of a nearby hotel surfing the web. One of my google searches brought me to a board, not unlike this one, for people, mostly women to talk about all kinds of parenting, pregnancy, separation, etc issues.
Well here it is.... The last day of peace and quiet for 10 days. My two ss's are coming over tomorrow to stay with me and DH for 10 days straight as BM is on vacation. As I posted in a previous blog, this feels like more of an invonvience to me then my DH bc he is at work all the time. I know this is horrible to feel this way. I really want to be able to enjoy their company. It's just that you get into your own routine and now that they will be here everything is going to be different.
I have been married for almost 3 years. and had stepdaughter since she was 4. since then... when we married.. she never listen to me NEVER i mean N E V E R. and I had rules as 3 strikes and tell her father. and he take care of it. and since then.. still not working. He let her to play ps3 game, DS game, during the punishment.
I've blogged before about SS3's behavior. He's great for us, as we give him boundaries, explain things to him (we can't pull the dog's tail because that hurts him, we clip our nails so they don't scratch our friends and get dirty, we have to leave gymnastics because they are going to turn off all the lights and leave...etc!). He usually tests our boundaries in the first hour we have him and then seems to remember we don't put up with stuff and then he's great.
My SO found out today that a friend of SS's was killed in a crash over the holiday weekend. SS lived with us full time until 2 weeks ago. He didn't have many friends come around. This friend was very close with SS when I was first with my SO, and is the only one who SS ever had "sleepovers" with. They grew apart and had different friends more recently, so I haven't really seen this young man in quite some time, but we would still occasionally hear how he was doing. He had just gotten his first job, and was very good at soccer.
Loca Grande couldn't get ahold of me or Loghead this morning, so she called Princess 18, and left her a VOICEMAIL, saying she has thyroid cancer.
