So it has been awhile since I have posted or even visited this site. I've sorta reverted into a shell. DH and I have been taking SD12 to see a counselor for the last month. Hoping it would relieve some of the tension and stress in our home. After todays session I feel it added more stress on me. I swear SD has been getting worse since we started.

Sometimes this sucks

I come to this website to vent right?, but it just sucks sometimes. I want to tell stories about happy times not always the crap. I feel as though I have nowhere else to turn. I had a previous post about skids being sent home possibly with pinkeye.(very contagious) BM didn't bother to make doc appointments til today when HB called her about it. Of course I was the one pushing him to make the call. I don't think either one of them felt it was neccessary to get kids into the doc.

Looking forward to 2008!

Just received word that the office space I was interested in will be available. Its a historic home on 6th street built in 1883. The developer has got arrangements to place it on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Yes, right now it is in disrepair and needs a lot of work but it will be one of the most beauitful office buildings in Springfield when it is done. My life is moving in the right direction!

I sent ss back to his mom's today with a ziploc bag containing a dirty sock,a pair of dirty underwear and a note that says they don't belong to him. I told SS that we don't do other people's laundry at our house. He informed me that BM's BF "got them mixed up" I told him that if he knows it is not his, not to wear it. (He knew the stuff wasn't his)

I just realized I'm not really the "mom" to my SD and I'm devastated.

I can hardly write this because I'm completely heartbroken by my 14 year old SD. Her BM left when she was 18 months old. I have raised her as my own daughter for nearly 9 years. She has had minimal contact with her BM over the years and when she does talk to her or see her our relationship gets really strained. Her BM has been in and out of jail for everything from Prostitution to DUI. She dopped out of highschool in the 10th grade and has been a stripper ever since.She got re-married 6 years ago, had another baby, then left that child when he was 15 months old.

She never called....

My BM signed over custody to us last friday and left for NC on Sunday morning. It's Wednesday and she hasn't called SD. DH asked her if she called last night at dinner and SD just shook her head and looked at her plate.

How selfish can you be? I could strangle her. Being the mother of a 15 year old daughter myself, I just can't get my head wrapped around this. Does BM not care about this girl at all?????

Custody/Visitation Schedule?

Hi All,

I was wondering if everyone could take the time to let me know what your current custody/vistation schedule is? Also how did you get to this current schedule---from divorce papers, mediation, dragging BM back to court, etc? Also what state was the court order done in? (I live in SC & we seem to be getting nowhere in court)
