Is it possible to love SD like my own?

SoontobeWifeandMom's picture

I have always felt that I had a strong connection with SD2 until lately. Now that things are more serious and I am about to be a full fledged step mom I am beginning to notice all the annoying qualities SD2 has. She still throws fits all the time, I would say about one to two an hour. She won't look at you when you are discipline her. She won't do what she is told and she manipulates everyone around her to make sure that she does what she wants. Others call it cute and funny, I think it is annoying and frustrating.

Reflections on Stalky Stuff for the past several years

Sita Tara's recent blog reminds me of several "run ins" that I've apparently had with BM in public (and in private) that I never knew about until afterward. I guess I don't pay as much attention as [BM] does.

There was one time that I was driving BF's vehicle and she saw me getting out in a parking lot, and claims to have taken a picture out the side of her car. I wonder how she managed taking a picture out the window of her car, of something she had just noticed when driving past at 45 mph. That resulted in about a week's worth of emails about "that whore driving your car".

Can't believe this

how to deal with the EX

tyra's picture

It has been quite sometime since I have been on. I think I was pregnant with my youngest and she is almost one year old now.
Things have been hell recently. Exwife has been so awful, her mother has been and so has my DH mother. She has jumped ship from our side over the the ex's. Not sure when their relationship was renewed but I do know it was behind my husband's back. MIL has always had issued wiht her daughter in laws.

I finally stood-up to the wicked witch!

The BM is quite possibly one of the nastiest people I've met in a long time. Recently she squandered her monthly income of $2,300. She's close to being evicted from the house she rents; she has had the utilities turned off, and apparently only has $70 in the bank. My husband and I have franticly tried to figure out where she stashed the children. She would not return our phone calls, emails, or text messages.

New to all of this....

Hi everyone, I am a new Stepmom to two boys. It is so nice to read all of your stories and finally come to a place where I know it's "not just me". I have been feeling very depressed lately. I thought something was wrong with me. I feel comforted knowing I am not alone. I am curious to know if there is anyone out there who is a stepmom but has no bio children of their own. I am dealing with infertility and on top of this new world I am in, it just feels very overwhelming.

A little motivational something

My mom sent me this in an email when all my stuff started coming up in March. I found it helpful.

Carrots, Eggs & Coffee
A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee...You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up, She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

This last year has been crazy because we got SS full-time and of course it has affect my work a bit, I'm not at the top of my game because everything is just hell at home.

Well I've got a improvtu performance review request from my boss today and I'm freaking out.
