Family From Elm Street

Jodee's picture

SD moved to our area this summer. She lives with her aunt. I have encouraged my husband to spend time with her whenever he can. Low and behold, I start seeing texts sis is sending my husband about how the family knows I am keeping him away from his daughter, etc. They don't even know me and it is far from the truth! Apparently they are planning some family intervention with him "alone" this weekend to discuss what hateful things I am supposidly doing. That is ridiculous! Why can't people act like adults and talk to me directly if they have a "problem"? Why are they taking a 16 yr.

When I read posts regarding SDs (usually teenagers), they sound horrifying.........

I have 2 SDs aged 8 and 9. They're very sweet now and we get along great. They love me and I love them. What worries me is when they get older, will that change?
I know how teenage girls can be.......I have a 21 y/o biodaughter and a 16 y/o biodaughter, so I'm no stranger.......
Although my BD who is now 21 gave me a very difficult time during her teenage years (and still does......), she was MY child and I could discipline, speak to her, occasionally smack her smart mouth, etc........as I saw fit. With SDs, I will not feel that liberty/authority.

UGH!! The Princess of Darkness is visiting this weekend!

Crap! I was hoping she'd come up with some excuse not to show up this weekend. DH's face was white for about a half hour after finding out she's coming over tonight, and he was completely quiet for several hours. He's not happy about her coming over either. The only thing he said about it was "Wonder what I'm going to be extorted for this time".

depressed

I'm so stressed out. SS7 had surgery on Thursday morning. My DD2 was not feeling well and so I did not get to go to the hospital with him. DH and BM both went. SS is still in the hospital because he is not breathing properly. I'm really depressed because I can't do anything for this kid. His BM is staying in the hospital with him because we have to work. I feel so bad for the kid, and yet so frustrated that DH wants to spend the night 3 hours away on a couch with BM. I hate to say that he can't go down there because his kid is very sick, but I don't want him that close to her.

DH's family STILL close with BM ... Why???

I signed up on Facebook last week (using my maiden name - just in case...) and searched for a few old friends (found one!!). In the process of searching people, I searched my hubby's last name. Guess who came up. Yep, DH's ex. Ick. The frumpy saggy boobs, saggy cheeks, and saggy eyes were enough to make me wretch.

Crazy ex...what's the deal??

OT - Problems with my daughter's biodad...PLEASE HELP

FutureSM's picture

I am having some major issues here. A little background info: My daughter began visitations EOW with her dad when he got out of prison in April. Everything has begun to transition with her being okay over there on his weekend visits without her freaking out and wanting to come home. However, I feel like he stepped out of prison, right onto a high horse.
1. He doesn't think she is clean enough when she comes home from school (on his fridays that he picks her up).

~she is a 4 year old kid at daycare - why would she come home sparkling clean...???

How hard is it to say Hello?

stuknaz's picture

The stepsons came over for a visit after football practice yesterday.
I was in the kitchen washing dishes and my back awas turned. The boys came in and walked right past me (they saw me!) and didn't say one word!
They plop down in the living room and greet their father. As I was finishing up the dishes I had already decided that I wasn't gonna stick around for this family moment. I go into the living room and grab my pocketbook from the table.
DH says to his precious boys "Did you guys say Hi to Stuknaz?" They both said "Yeah" simulataneoulsy!
