Ok, my first real blog. Since I have been a member-I mainly read all of your postings to hang onto my own sanity with a man who is a part of my life. He has full custody of his ten year old son, and they both live with me. The boys mother has virtually not been in his life since he was three. I'm sure part of this boys issues have to do with the abandonment and possibly learning difficulties because BM is a drunk and crack head. So back to Dad, my BF...I found out today that his son has his own facebook page.
BS16 is going to summer school to get ahead on hours and while he was at school yesterday...someone went into his room, moved things around and took some of his expensive art pastel pencils. Not sure who did it since there are 3 people at the house (SD13 and her friends)while we are at work...think it might be time for a nanny cam or an outside lock on the door.
So went sent the lizard with the messed up lips home to BM (gross). My DH tends to be on the neurotic side and sent BM a text to remind her to put the ointment on the lizard daily.
She text back and said...."The lizard is so cute! Her lips remind me of SD lips when she was a baby. Don't worry, I am taking good care of Morty"(lizard's name)
Holy shit balls - did this lunatic really compare her child's lips to a lizard's lips that were burned by a heat lamp?
So, my 8 year old SD, who JUST turned 8, came home from an extended visit at BM's house with a CELLPHONE. BM and BM's mom got her a cellphone for texting and calling. Wtf? An 8year old with a cell phone?
To make it more awkward, BM has not called for her daughter in almost a year and BM's mother has called only a hand full of times..and she always calls my husbands phone and he ALWAYS lets them speak. Why would they get a phone for her??
To make it even funnier, they programmed everyone's number except for mine..an obvious attempt to piss me off.
Last night, I took a brief break from studying for finals to chat with FDH. We are both sarcastic jokers, and during the course of the conversation I made a few jokes about BM and FSIL (cut from the same cloth, and buddy buddy to boot!).
FDH responded with, "What is this, crum on my family day?"
Yep, idiot, BM is your family. Because that whole divorce and restraining order thing meant nothing.
This applies especially if your children are being abused, if you are physically abused, etc especially in front of your children.
While this may be OT, I read at least once of someone here whose husband beat her. Please leave. If anyone is abusing your child, please leave. This is not discipline or telling a kid what to do or having disagreements.
dh and attorney invited me to attend mediation.
it'll be a five minute meeting so i cant see it being worth anyones time.
Hi everybody, I have been reading the forum now for a couple of months and finally decided to blog. I’ve found this site incredibly useful and insightful, if only I had this site at the height of the drama!
Did anyone see a spectacular huffy sign off? I hope I didn't miss anything too fun.
My bio-son is separated from his girlfriend. They have a 5 month old daughter together. My SS from Hell, is trying to stick her nose in it. She found out about the break-up on facebook. She private messaged the girlfriend and told her she needed to me careful cause my bio-son would try and get the baby and not let the baby's Mom see her again. There are only 2 reasons she would do that (1) scare Mom so she wouldn't let me keep the baby anymore. (2) She just had to get involved with the drama. She just needs to butt out. I hope Karma comes around soon.
