Kind of O/T Doc Martin
Anyone watch the show Doc Martin? They are airing the eighth season and they killed off Mrs. Tischel's husband, Clive.
Mrs. Tischel seemed to have fallen out of love with Clive a loooooong time ago and was just going through the motions. And yes, Mrs. Tischel's character is a coo coo, be that as it may. So when she was informed that he was dead due to a heart attack, she merely carried on without so much as a break in her stride.

Dressed To Enmesh
So Mrs. Headlights magically received a summer internship for her 22 yr old daughter in one of the other departments. I happened to glance out the window and they looked like the Bobsy twins. Except for the hairdos and mom's giant boobs, it was hard to tell them apart! They both wore matching grey short sleeved polo golf shirts and black skinny jeans. I did a double take!! I just can't imagine dressing like my 22 yr old daughter--daily coordinating outfits and such!!!
For a time, I worked with DD in a call centre and never once did I try to match outfits with her!!!

And Another Report Comes In
Just when you think it can't get any worse. YSS 16.5 has actually gone BACKWARDS since the start of the school year.
His Lexile score shows that he is doing math and reading at a third grade level. Problem is he's in the 10th grade!

Grades Thread--Alternatively Entitled "The Biggest Loser"
Ok the results are in:
Global Studies? Failed
Geometry? Failed
English? Failed
Earth Science? Failed
PE/Gym? Failed
Varsity Chorus? 90!
Of course they will pass YSS 16.5 in everything because he has an IEP which will let him pass at far lower grades than average. This is the future! The standard has been lowered below ground floor due to sheer laziness! Scary when you go, let's say to the hospital and one of these time bombs may be employed there as an orderly or something!!!

I Wasn't That Far Off
Back to the beginning of the school year predictions:
https://www.steptalk.org/blog/thinkthrice/place-your-bets-alternatively-...
I had projected using mathematical equations that YSS 16.5 would rack up 16 disciplinary referrals during the 10th grade.
The actual number? 19*
I also had predicted 77 lates/skips
The actual number? 66*

I Am Reminded Of A Scene
In the movie Red Pill where the NCP father, who is concerned about his son's health, shows his son how to manage his diet include exercise get enough water excetera excetera.
The GUBM considers this "fat-shaming" allows the boy to eat a solid diet of junk food and immediately withholds visitation continuing her PAS path. And predictably the court sides with her despite the son's health remarkably improving when with his dad... and conversely going downhill when with the GUBM.

Spin-off to "Who are you texting?"
My response to a six-year-old child would have been "none of your business" or "this doesn't concern you."
Since when, other than to teach a child a valuable life skill or chore, is it necessary to explain everything an adult does to a child?
It is disgusting the way modern children are treated with 100% adult authority ( precociousness/adult confidant) yet 0% responsibility in the way of school work, chores, cleaning up after themselves and basic life skills.
