Surprise! YSS (the House Shitter) Has His First Skip School Today

yep..  last Friday he was tardy (unexcused) and now he has his first unexcused absence.   What usually happens is when the tardies/skips go beyond the threshold to get a warning, the Girhippo starts writing up excuses to make them go from "illegal" to "legal."  Either that or YSS is forging Girhippo notes.

over a homecooked meal.  He is stb 17 yrs old (YSS).  All three of Chef's ferals know where we live and live no more than 25 minutes away from us but have been so throughly poisoned by both the Girhippo's clan AND a lot of Chef's own family (his only full brother as well as Mr. Neutral, his half bro and his half sisters) that I will be shocked if we ever see hide nor hair of them except from afar and in passing.

Ok, how many of your SO/DuHs manifest giving the GUBM all the power in so many ways....?  In this case I clearly remember Chef, despite me being an EXPERIENCED PARENT, calling the GIRHIPPO about HOW MUCH CHILDRENS TYLENOL to give the skids??!!!!  Was this kabuki theatre for co-parenting?

1.  the dosage is CLEARLY on the bottle

2.  he could have asked ME the experienced parent

 

Sooo he preferred to be the "dummy" and call up the Gir to ask her this only to make himself look even MORE lame as a parent to everyone involved!!!

YSS (The House Shitter) stb 17 will be starting 11th grade tomorrow.  Using the straight 17% figure rounded off I predict:

Disciplinary Referals:   last semester 19    this semester:  22

Lates/Skips:  last semester 66   this semester:  77

Of course all major courses will be failed despite the IEP and summer school will be attended the summer of 2020.

Those are my predictions.

Chef is taking up the guitar as a hobby.  Poor dear has a tin ear, no rhythm and no musical aptitude whatsoever.

I have to listen to the same 3 notes over and over and over again.  Trying to teach him to read music is nigh on impossible.  I told him to keep practice to an hour a day (for my own sanity)  I think he has this fantasy about being a country music star.  And ironically Pumpkinhead OSS stb 23 was supposed to be a rock star..

YSS 16.5 has been enrolled in Trade School/Vocational School (not sure what he's taking though)  Chef received a notification from BOCES (board of cooperative education services).   Depending on what he's taking (hopefully NOT culinary arts--that market is flooded) IF he attends and IF he stays out of trouble and IF he isnt' late every day, he MIGHT do well.

The more rational, slightly thinner Chef said "We'll see; not expecting too much."

we were at a local eatery (side note:  we have been watching our diet pretty well... Chef's down 12 lbs has significantly reduced his booze intake and is much more pleasant to deal with)  and a server comes up to us who LOOKS.ALOT.LIKE.THE.GIRHIPPO (except for the Gir's massive height)

I told Chef that she looked quite a bit like the Girhippo and he immediately retorted "NAH!!!"

And then I caught myself ALMOST saying "she is a lot BETTER looking than the Gir, though"

I'm sure somehow, some way, he thought that the Girhippo was MUCH more attractive than our server.
