I'll miss FDW, but not the skids so much. I just got back from a business trip so that was a nice break as well.
One more week unti my lunch meeting with a guy who will hopefully give me the career opportunity of the decade. If I get this, I won't be able to work from home anymore but maybe that will be a blessing in disguise. That would mean then that we would have to hire a babysitter during the summers and I won't have to put up with SS11's unmitigated BS lying. The kid seems to be getting worse.
Well last night is the first time I have seen any of the kids.Since the oldest and youngest said what they said. The only one who acted the same was the middle child Nataly. The little boy started to act the same after a while. It was at his boyscouts banquent and you know it felt like when I first started dating him.
:O Ok I am supporting him! He is in 8th grade, going to be a freshman this Aug. I guess he doesn't understand that HS is alot harder. The school tells the kids to aim high and starts them all set out for the scholars Diploma. Thats setting them up for failure and is going to dis-courage some beyond belief. Did they ask us before they set him up for this? No!! Did they look at his report card before this? No! He has 4 Fs right now and these counselors have talked all the new coming students into reaching to aquire the highest possibilities. This semester has been horrible for him!
I have been a SM for more than 13 years, but since my DH and I dated for 4 years prior to marrying, I count it as 17 years. When we started dated, my two SS were 3 & 4, they're now 20 & 21, and both in college. They're great kids, but no one is perfect and we've certainly had our moments. As for the BM, she has always lived within 15 minutes of us, has shared custody (she had them Sun-Wed, we had them Thurs-Sat, every week unless we were traveling), and has always been in our life. She still is.
BM contacted DH to let him know that skids won't be down for visitation because SS10 has the flu and SD6 has 12, yes TWELVE RINGWORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now he understands why I strip them down and bathe them when they arrive. Luckily, because of distance, DH has been doing the majority of visitation at MIL's which is almost halfway, so aside from scrubbing him down when he returns, we should be in the clear.
Gross!
SD told us, screamed it actually, that she was never coming back. DH has invited her to a movie a few times and she keeps refusing.
guess i haven't felt the need to complain much lately since the skids went back to bm's house (thank GOD!) but i've had a few things that have been bothering me so here goes...
It is tax season and my bride is working the usual CPA crunch time hours until April 15th.
Skid (SS-18) and I went to dinner last night at his preferred grazing location. All you can eat Chinese buffet.
At dinner I asked him if he considered himself a happy person. He said "middle of road".
From there the discussion progressed to his mom and I, my family, his mom's family and then the SpermClan.
My son gave me his opinion on just about everyone in his extended family.
Rags' Clan:
did it work for you? i don't see it as alt to emergencies, however, i'm seriously trying to talk dh into this with his ex because she is constantly doing things that we need to PROVE to her what she said about any given siti and to keep them from arguing in front of the kids (she is VERY HARD to work with).
did you do this without a court order? how did it work? did it blow up in your face?
Last Thursday morning it was 7:20. I'm sitting in the car with SD5 and SS3, and we're waiting for the bus for SD5 to come. I get a phone call from FDH and he goes, "BM doesn't think that SD has school today." I said, "Yes she does." He says, "Are you sure?" I say, "Yes. It's next week that she doesn't have school Thursday and Friday. Plus, there are other kids waiting for the bus."
