We got it. We got it. We got ALL of it. Our income tax refund was deposited in the account today! I blogged earlier about how BM claimed the skids although DH is CP and they do in fact live with us two-thirds of the time. I knew she had done it when the reason for the e-file rejection came up "SSN of Qualifying Child cannot be used on more than one return" or some such.
Just under a month ago, I rubbed my hands together and giggled with Rags-like glee after depositing our paper return in the mail slot and thought, "Alright Bimboron, it's ON!"
You don't have to like us. You can hate us. You and DH obviously hate each other.
We don't like you, either. But we don't bash you or your partner to the kids. Why? Because a) as much as DH hates you he loves the kids so much more and b) both he and I are mature adults who have found ways to blow off our steam about you without the kids knowing.
If you could keep your hatred of us confined to ivillage, your support system of people and a therapist, your kids would be much better off.
How the hell do I make this man see the truth? I am losing my damned mind! I tried to tell him about this site and how I dont feel so alone now with my feelings. I tried to read him a few things to try to give him some insight. NO WAY! He immediately put up his guard, got defensive and said "BOO HOO...you all are just a bunch of cold, bitter wenches that have nothing better to do bitch and complain!"
What the hell do I do to make him see how I feel???
So we, or should i say i have been dealing with this issue for as long as i've been with dh because it doesn't seem to bother him in the least. saw this on the earlier post "my 'favorite' quotes" and it really struck a cord with me.
bm does not work. has 3 children with 3 different men however dh has claimed responsibility for her son since his bio is in prision and they were together from birth to 6 months.
Just venting again and letting out a big sigh.... So our baby turns one next week!! We are having her party his weekend where our families live. It just so happened that this weekend is NOT an ss weekend. I didn't plan it that way on purpose as my life doesn't revolve around ss. But it was kind of nice that it worked out that way because dd would get to be center of attention for once. (side note- I have a little resentment toward dh because ss started visiting again at te end of my pregnancy with dd. It was at that point that dh kind of lost interest in the baby.
Being stuck in middle management sucks. You are responsible for the f-ups below as well as the f-ups above, yet you have no authority to really change anything.
Last night, FDH came upstairs from our family room looking like he had seen a ghost! He told me that he's pretty sure we've got "something" in our house. I was like WHAT? He said that for about a week or so he keeps getting the sensation that the dog or SS3 is around him or doing something in the room, then he turns and there's no one there. I was trying not to scare myself so I didn't say anything...but I've been getting that SAME feeling. I'll swear that I see something move out of the corner of my eye and I'll look, expecting to see the dog or SS3 and neither are there.
When DH left this morning it ended with Skids will not be coming down because ss17 has other plans instead of doing the research he needed to with an artist DH knows. YEA NO SKIDS!!!!
i just got a text from DH - "skids think they'll be able to make it down tonight "
i want to reply - thanks for ruining the rest of MY friday and MY weekend - why does he think that makes me happy?!?!
Here is a good question...what do DH and I do about the Skids religion? Should we take them to church? DH and I are both Agnostic. BM is a born again Christian and is basically fanatical. She is bringing up the kids the same way. DH and I never try to sway them from their beliefs even though we dont agree with them. SD10 asked us why we "hate god"....yeah, I know....my jaw dropped the first time. She told us that "MaMa said that you and daddy are Satinists and you are going to hell". OK!!!! WTF?! Oh, there is so much to this story, but I will save that for another time.
Every other weekend (EOWE), SS11 goes to BM's. This has been the arrangement now for the last 2+ years. DH and I have been together for 4 years now, living together for 3 years. DD12 lives with us full time and sees her father occasionally but not very often any more. This weekend is......the scheduled EOWE 
For the entire weekend starting today, I get to enjoy some peace and quiet.
