Picture not-so-perfect, or Photo-gate

So, we got our photo done. And Im so over it. Next year will be very different, because Im not going through that again.

Heres what went down this weekend.:

Saturday was the day Feral Forger would be arriving in town. We had no idea of when and she did not communicate with Munchkin-in-the-middle about arrival time. Saturday was supposed to be picture day, because we also did not know anything about how long FF would be staying. Turns out until Monday. 

A Zoomed Thanksgiving in cLove-land

Greetings and I hope everyone had a pleasant Thanksgiving Day. We had our very first TG at our home just us (munchkin sd14, me and DH). DH bought a medium size turkey, we did mashed potatoes and I did gravy (from scratch! My mother walked me through it) we had warm artisian rolls, green bean casserole (my first time making that - it was my favorite after the mashed taters) and some canned yams that I spiced up.

Lets just say that distance learning and Munchkin SD14 are not the best of friends. She normally is an A and a B student. Her current challenge has been logging on to the zoom classroom meetings and classwork. 

Last Friday *yes the 13th! she was notified that work assignments are missing. She was with us all weekend and nothing was completed and submitted Friday, nor during the weekend although she kept saying she as going to "work on it". I am emailed notifications, no one else is. So I then got another on Monday, which is when she went back to her mother Toxic Trolls house.

Toxic Troll is now sick part 2

'Ello. If you are still reading these...

I have no idea what to do in this situation.

Toxic Troll went to the hospital for her 1 millionth visit, and claims it was for backpain and...sick.

Was sitting across from someone she claims has COVID, and therefore was exposed.

Was throwing up as of yesterday.

DH told her, ok you are getting tested, well then even after you test negative your must wait X days to get munchkin. He said 10.

TODAY she texts him saying that she tested negative and wants to get munchkin TOMORROW.

Munchkin SD14 Update

Its our week with kiddo, and she and I have had a few conversations. When I picked her up on Monday, she was stone cold quiet. When I had called to let her know I was going to be picking her up because her father was going to be later and its on my way (we live about 10 mins from Toxic Troll) she said in her barely audible only dogs can hear voice "I dont think Im ready yet". I just knew her mother was there listening, and she did whisper "because my MOM".

And Im REALLY trying to muster up some empathy for her. She did not succeed, and Feral Forger was able to calm her down over the phone, long distance, but it feels like a huge pile of stinky smely cr@ppy drama.

Munchkin is stressed, and telling me (via text) that her Aunty Crazy Troll called the grands, who already called the police, who have already been there and gone.

So, last night was a big night. We got cable and now Dh can sit in his man-cave and watch multiple channels. In fact, he can channel surf. Swtch between multiple football games.

But, I still hang out there too, with him sometimes. Its our "talking" space, where Munchkin SD14 doesnt get to overhear and subsequently chime in on our discussions.
