I can't understand why Dh's family still talks to BM....SD lives with us and spends a majority of her time with us...yet MIL and SIL will go out for dinners with her(and SD)...we have discussed this with DH's family in counselling and they said it would be cut out. I can't comprehend wanting to even look this poor excuse of a mother in the face let alone share a meal with her....should I even care? or should I just keep my relationship with them,(which is rocky at best)superficial?
As most know my dh lost his job and we are currently trying to make a go at bird breeding businesses. Well when dh told yuck about his job loss she was OK with not getting cs for a while or just partcial. She seemed to be understanding. Well dh did pay 2 1/2 weeks and we are planning on paying another week. She seemed fine with this till the business took off. Its not like we were not going to pay at all just not as much as he is supposed too.
This happened a while ago, but I just thought of it again.
I was unpacking boxes as we just moved in together. FSS10 saw me unpacking boxes and saw my MP3 player
"what's that?"
"my MP3 player"
"Can I have it?"
I froze, looked at him and very slowly said, "No. It is my MP3 player."
He groans "Ahhh,... that's not fair!"
He rolled his eyes at me and walked away...
UM SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT MUCH????
Is it ok for a BM or BF to continually put down the other parent's spouse infront of the kid and make up lies and stories and try to get the kid to hate the stepparent out of jealousy and spite. This makes it hard on the other parent when their kid hates their spouse and no matter what they say the kid will still go back to the other parent and get fed the B.S again. Is their any law on this? Particularly in florida?
This weekend(Saturday) we celebrated MIL's wedding. She invited the BM since she wanted her to perform a praise dance. In the back of my head, I'm thinking, "This is going to be interesting since we've never met nor spoken to each other except via FB." (My DH and I have been together for a year and a half; married for 2 months). We are introduced and do not say anything to each other after that. At the wedding, she freaks out over some hearsay about the bride. She freaks out, her daughter's feet hurt;they both are there crying right before my MIL is about to walk down the isle. WTH?
I posted this in forum too, just because of how FDH saw RED when he saw BM response.
The issue isn't step but do any of you ever have issues with your ex and your bios where the ex favors one child over the other? I'm about to snap and honestly don't know what to do because I've tried to talk to my ex and he just doesn't get it or care but its got to stop!
Today SS asked me if my daughter loved his mom. I told him that my daughter didn't know his mom. Then he asked if my daughter did know his mom, if she would love her then. I told him maybe.
I mean really, what do you say to that?
Ok so I have been with my husband since his son was born practically. We actually started dating when his son was 4 months old and since he works so much I have taken care of his son since then. The relationship with the childs mother is horrible so she after the first year did everything she could to make sure we no longer saw him. So fast forward to now he is about 12 years old and I have 3 children and opne on the way with my husband and we have seenhim about 3 times over the past 7 years and it was really sparce before that.
My BM is a subtle, calculating bully, and she's ramping it up as FDH and I get closer to our wedding date (in a few months). Here's a little recap before I get to the big issue:
