Gotta love emails from control freak BMs

Here's what BM said:

1. "I don't think the calendar needed to be changed for those two days especially since you will be at work anyway."

She asked to have one of DH's weekends and sent the calendar in PDF. DH asked for 2 days in the week to make up and I helped him redo the calendar to show this. Clearly, no one is allowed to make changes to HER calendar. But her reasoning is BS, because she's at work most weekdays when the kids are at her house too!

2. "Also I did not copy your wife on the original email so why is she involved in your response?"

Maybe it's my feelings towards the BM that causes me to act this way???

So, I've been married for a year now... it sure has gone by fast. I still haven't been able to really open up to my SD3 yet. She is a nice little girl and acts like a 3 yr old in her situation would... I guess. I don't have any children of my own so not really sure how you're suppose to be a mom. So far, everytime my SD3 has come over to visit, I've been elsewhere. My DH and her spend their time downstairs and I'm upstairs just waiting until it's time for her to go home. It's not that I dislike her per say, or maybe I do dislike her. I can't say what this feeling is really.

Stepdaughters 16, 14, 12 run the show...

Hello! I have three stepdaughters, I have many problems with them. I'm happy I finally found this board - now I can vent in blogs - which I think is a great idea that can help with dealing with problesm, and I can discuss and get advice from people who are in a similar situation and understand me.

Can't take this anymore

My SD and her family are still living in my house... as she walks around acting as if I don't exisit untill she wants something as to which it was my car this time. I told her NO... then got a ration of shit from her grandmother, she left a horrible message on my voicemail including my parents, kids and my friends into the equation to just piss me off even more. what's killing me the most is that my husband hasn't done anything to confront his mother... I told him they are to be out of the house by Sept. 1 or I was going to pack up my stuff and leave...

Buying for my bios vs buying for skids

DH and I throw all our money into the pot and I pay the bills. I make more money than he does, cover our health insurance, receive child support for my three children and we receive nothing for SS who we have full time minus his EOWe with his BM. We are also expecting our first child together.

Small victory

BM has SS9 for the summer. SS9 has ADD/ODD and NEEDS a routine. Set bedtime, wakeup and med at mostly the same time.

Since being there she's told us he's being an "asshole" her words not ours ...

she said she can't understand why he's so rude to her when all she does is buy him everything under the sun ... um yeah ...

Just another morning - nothing too exciting, but SS13 is showing some age-appropriate growth

step off already's picture

This morning SS13 asks me if he is going to his Aunt's today. (Apparently, he's too cool to hang out at home or to do things with me and my bios, which is fine with me and actually shows a bit of growth for him :-)). I ask him if he was invited as he is definitely the type to wear out his welcome and he was just over there yesterday. He says no. That pretty much ends that part of the discussion.

Then he says, "can I invite a friend over?" and I tell him we have a few things to do today. He says, "well, my dad said I could" and I just say, "well, your dad isn't here".

Fine line between "selfless" and "doormat"

I have SD7 and DD4 with me during this summer visitation. DH and BM live about 10 hrs away (thank God), and because DH is in the military, there is no EOW arrangement. They alternate holidays(even though BM denied each one till DH filed for contempt), but DH gets summers with SD7. Well...court battles after court battles, and a file for contempt (BM wasn't going to allow SD7 to come live with us for a month), we FINALLY got to have SD7 see her other home and spend time with her other family. DH is getting SD7 for 4 weeks out of this entire year; that's it.

BM believing her BF over her own daughter

porcelian-doll's picture

SD14 called DH claiming that BM let her new BF spend the night and he creeps her out. According to SD he undresses her with his eyes when her mom isn't looking and he came behind her in the kitchen and said her hair smells good. He asked SD for a good night hug and BM made her give him one and he whispered to her that she is sexier than her mom. BM does not believe her and says she is just making this up for attention. SD is staying with us because BM said and this is a quote from her mouth " Tell DH to come get his little lying daughter I'm tired of her starting stuff".
