What MY MOTHER Would Have Done Had I Been Swinging Off of a Door Push Bar at the Library
First of all I wouldn't have DARED to do it, but had I been so emboldened:
1. Mother would have noticed in a PICOSECOND that I was blocking incoming/outgoing library traffic and that I was swinging off the push bar.
2. Mother would have ZOOMED over to my location in about another PICOSECOND
3. I would have received an open handed slap to the back of my head IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY being pulled out of the way by one arm.
4. I would have been told to apologize to the adult(s) that were blocked by my rudeness.
I Guess I Was Just Brought up In a Different Era!
I'm stb 55. When I was a youngster you did a few of the following that I see SADLY lacking in today's youth:
1. always be aware of your surroundings and get out of the way for others (aka don't block the entrance door/aisle of a store or public building)
2. Children should be seen and not heard. No child should EVER interrupt an adult unless the house was on fire or some crisis such as that.
3. Children should ALWAYS remember their MANNERS; holding doors open for the elderly, saying yes, please, thank you ( a little ma'am or sir isn't unwelcome either)

O/T Here We Go Again!! (Vent about Direct TV and NFL Sunday Ticket)
Chef LOVES football. I mean really reallly REAAALLLLLLY LOOOOOVES FOOTBALL!!!
EVERY.FRIGGIN.YEAR DirectTV automatically adds NFL Sunday Ticket. Now Chef and I got into a MAJOR argument at this time a couple of years when I mentioned that DirectTV automatically put it back on again.
His argument is he's "worth it!" (insert eyeroll)
Well I just bought a brand new tractor with all the trimmin's and I don't feel like pissing anymore money out the window.
Boil Water/Hand Sanitizer ALERT!!! (PART TWO) Alternate Title: Watch Out Maine!!
Continuing their "whirlwind vacay" as the Girhippo puts it, they are now flying off to Maine.
This is a DEFCON 3 alert (yellow) Be prepared to take all cautionary action against one's health in the State of Maine.
My own parents live in Maine. I hope they don't come down with E Coli or something like that.
(side note: Nice that the Gir 'n' Clan can go on a solid month vacay with the whole crew. Yep that CS is really being put to great use (forget about tutoring, etc)
Boil Water/Hand Sanitizer ALERT!!!
For those of you who are in the Outer banks of North Carolina, your turf has been invaded by the Girhippo and clan (including StepDaddyBigBucks, OSS stb 19, SD stb 17 and YSS 12.5) so I suggest extra hand sanitizer as well as boil all drinking water until further notice. They have purchased a vacay home over there and have taken occupancy.

O/T Must Have Summer Wardobe Items
Seeing it's summer here in the northern hemisphere and will soon be summer in the southern hemisphere, what wardrobe item can you not be without?
For me it's high end black flip flops. Not the cheapies but the high arch support or massaging type that won't blow out a strap when you step in a pit in your yard (I have lots of moguls in my one acre and uneven terrain)
What are some items that you must have?

OSS (stb 19) has Driver's License For Less Than a Year and. . .
it is now revoked for too many traffic infractions, moving violations and speeding tickets. Thank GOD he didn't seriously injure someone and was shut down but doubt he's learned his lesson. How he's getting to his part time job that the BM's relative got him making smoothies on a food truck is beyond me. There IS public transportation where he lives but it is pretty sparse. Seems he's dropped out of community college as well (that lasted I think three months)
Not surprising since the rules DON'T apply to pooooooooooooooor, piiiiiiiiiiitiful CODs.
Defending the BM--Analysis
Well if you have the "blame the SM" and "defend the BM" type of "D"H and you're wondering why. ..
1. He probably thinks you are the same sort as the BM--misogynistic tendencies increase because it can't be HIS fault that he was "walked over" by the GUBM--he's not about to let that happen with SM
2. Men tend to put on rose-coloured glasses about their ex relationships--women don't
3. Defending the BM is a defense of his own character judgement and taste

O/T I Put My Foot Down
One of the traits of being a Narcissist--and note, I believe the Narcissist is mostly created due to spoiling as a child/lack of parenting--is being overly generous with others. Chef has this issue ever since I have known him.
Backstory: He was spoiled as a child and pretty much allowed to run feral. Born as the absolute baby of the family a combined total of 12 kids and to elderly parents who were both on their 2nd marriages but who no longer gave a flying F.

That Didn't Last Long. . .
Seems OSS Pumpkinhead (stb 19) has:
-Dropped out of community college (has it listed as past tense studied at hicksville CC from 2015-2015)
-Made a new identity for himself--has abandoned his first name and is going by a physical description of himself :?
-Has moved out of his Uncle's place and is possibly in subsidized housing just to the north
Is still continuing with his fantasy of being a "rock star"
