Well Dominatrix was at fault in a driving accident and also managed to kill a cat in the process. Less than a year after getting her license. Following in Big Bro's footsteps, I see. Really no comment on that from Chef, but he's still under the delusion that the Girhippo won't try to push, pull or drag Dom (SD stb 18) through community college. Seems Dom now wants to be a Probation Officer!

Just Thought I'd Trot Out "The List" for Any Noob Who Thinks They Might Have a Guilty/Disney Dad On Their Hands...

1. Does your man allow co-sleeping with his children? (aka the kiddies routinely jump into bed with him at night)

2. Does he have to lie down with them to get them to sleep?

3. Do the children seem somehow "stunted" socially? Do they have poor hygiene habits, eating habits, bedtime habits?

4. Does your man subscribe to the "one big happy family" model? (expects you to love his children as much as or more than him)

5. Does your man have the "inability" to say no to his children?

6. Do his children seem overly "hyperactive" to you?

Unbroken Streak Of Summer School By SD 17.5

Possibly a new record. Twelve straight years of summer school starting with kindergarten all the way through Junior year in HS!

SD failed two regents exam and her Math class, barely scraping by all the other courses. This was two weeks AFTER the brag about making it to Senior year.

I'm just an ancient by today's standards, but it USED to be an embarrassment to go to summer school. Not for the Girhippo Clan apparently. Oh well, a few weeks of snacks and socializing and SD will be all caught up (insert eyeroll avatar).

Unionized bat shit cray cray, slothful co-worker that our fairly new boss has decided to crack down on has taken to wearing a go pro/pen type camera around his neck and is constantly doing video footage. He has a persecution complex, is extremely defensive when asked to do ANYTHING, and is paranoid.

This time its for Dominatrix (SD 17.5) over five lates this semester. Usually its about Prince Hygiene (YSS 13) skipping detention for not doing homework or classwork.

Dom likened high school to prison and often posts videos of her and her bullying victims...errrr, "friends" goofing off in study hall or detention on FB.

And yet the Gir will force her into Community College to keep the CS gravy train going.

I did get him a Surface Pro 3 last year for his birthday which he uses for class/work, etc. He will be graduating with a STEM degree and also will be getting married in July to a lovely young lady who is an elementary special ed teacher. He will also be cross training to engineering in the Air Force.

I'd like to get him a cash gift so what is appropriate? I have very little experience in gift giving since my parents never did any holidays or gift giving in general.

Anybody elses DH/SO spend HOURS talking shop to co workers after they get home?

Chef sees himself as a pied piper to the under 35 set coworkers. They literally follow him from company to company, not realizing that Chef has the "luxury" of changing jobs on a whim due to MY salary/steady job.

Chef NEVER brings up that the reason he doesnt go into his own biz is his CS obligations and that he'd need someone to do his officework full time (which Im NOT willing to do).

You Just Can't MAKE This Stuff Up!!!!

If it wasn't true, it'd be a sit com!!

Forty something Girhippo's auntie and her flav of the month remind OSS (19.5) that Insane Clown Posse will be in concert. OSS writes "I really really really want to go but I've been taking a lot of time off work lately and I need the money."

Umm how do you "take a lot of time off" of a part time video game store gig in this economy and continue to keep your job--or live for that matter?! One can only speculate he's now living with the Girhippo's mom.

And yes, they all liked me!!! Unlike Chef's brats. It was my first babysitting stint
She was just a toddler and their mom played cello professionally.

They lived in our apartment complex upstairs and moved about a year later.

The older girl and middle child boy, insisted on watching the Wizard of Oz but got creeped out by the crystal ball scene in which I had to reassure them that it was just a movie.
