Anybody elses DH/SO spend HOURS talking shop to co workers after they get home?

Chef sees himself as a pied piper to the under 35 set coworkers. They literally follow him from company to company, not realizing that Chef has the "luxury" of changing jobs on a whim due to MY salary/steady job.

Chef NEVER brings up that the reason he doesnt go into his own biz is his CS obligations and that he'd need someone to do his officework full time (which Im NOT willing to do).

So Chef's major source of entertainment (when there's no football on) is to get on the horn and blab for hours with his "disciples" about what went wrong at work. (Eyeroll)

I wish. It would be nice to have dh distracted instead of constantly up my butt. I'm grateful for Quitty's baseball practice tonight and praying to God it doesn't rain and end early. This is my only opportunity to "hog" the big tv and catch up on my shows that dh "isn't into". *insert eye roll here*

Problem is my house is all on one level; open floor plan; 90 feet in length. Basically a rectangle. And Chef's got a high pitched very LOUD voice that carries.

Unfortunately he has not yet finished the 2nd story of the deattached garage, which will become my haven/workout room etc

No. He will if it's absolutely necessary, but it's very rare.

Mine is doing that at this moment...except it's actual work and not just talk.
Very glad I have a job that I don't have to bring home with me.

I WISH Chef had "fishing buddies" so he can go fishing for an entire weekend and leave me in peace. He is like a homing pigeon. One of my co-workers has a clingy, currently unemployed (laid off) husband and he at least has fishing buddies that he can go fishing with and leave her alone in peace!

Oh yeah the same old stories repeated. Well at least he has toned down the "when I was married to the Girhippo" endless stories.
