For bringing me shows which were forbidden to me growing up, namely:

DARK SHADOWS circa 1966

WOW this show, despite people flubbing their lines occasionally and the campy canned 60's juke box music at the "Blue Whale," was ahead of its time.

LOVE the character of Roger Collins played by Louis Edmond. I usually despise soap operas but this is the exception!! VERY intriguing!

O/T Test that Guesses Your Education Level

I did it in my spare (ha ha) time and it confirms my worst fears. Education has been dumbed down extensively.

I graduated high school in the late seventies--took a few college courses, no degree, but was busy supporting my family ever since.

Took the test and it says I'm at GRAD SCHOOL level. Seriously? Wow I feel sorry for the young people of the past 40 years. They've been ROBBED.

UPDATE: A-HA! There WAS a New School Portal that Chef NEVER GOT ANY INFORMATION ON!!

Turns out the new portal went live sometime in November/December 2016. The "schooltool" system is supposed to generate an email using the user's EMAIL ADDRESS as a user id. You cannot get the creds over the phone.

WELL, the school is now stating that they "NEVER HAD CHEF'S EMAIL" which is a bunch of baloney because a teacher there received his email back in September when it was first noticed the OLD webportal was retired. The teacher then assured Chef that he would get the new info.

A-HA! There WAS a New School Portal that Chef NEVER GOT ANY INFORMATION ON!!

Earlier I had my suspicions about a portal being suddenly turned off for YSS and SD's grades. Well Chef was assured that he would get the new portal info as soon as it came out. Yeah right.

Well what do you know. On the School District site there is a school portal website that has been up for about 5 months now which Chef never got any information on despite requesting it via email.

Things that make you go HMMM. Did I mention that the Girhippo has the entire town PASed out against Chef for the last oh, 13 years now?

O/T My Purebred Cat Has An Affinity for Insulation

Chef is now insulating the 2 story garage. Problem is that my younger male cat luuurves him some insulation. He practically died from it when he was no more than 2 years old. Between eating it and inhaling, rubbing and rolling in it, he will come down with an respiratory infection.

Same thing 8 1/2 years later. Cat sneaks out of the house and makes for the garage. WHAMMO, comes down with an infection one week later.

New Superintendent At Skid's School District (FINALLY a CRACKDOWN)

Dominatrix (SD18) is posting like MAD against the new superintendent and all his new rules.

Example: Students need to have a hall pass when roaming the halls during classes
Student lounge is now only open to those who are on the honour roll
Vending machines are closed until 3:15 p.m.

The HORRORS!!!!

We also received another report from the special education team stating that Dom simply blew off all of her reading assignments in the last semester and therefore is getting a grade of 66 in English. Failure to Launch, here we come!

Soooo... when OSS20 and SD18 turned EIGHT, the Girhippo slapped them in middle class status orthodonture (without consulting Chef of course and using Chef's insurance)

Now that they are on the GIRHIPPO'S insurance policy, she waited until Prince Hygiene (YSS14) turned FOURTEEN before getting orthodonture.

HMMMM. And YSS's teeth were the worst of all three.
