Two Sides To Every Story, But This Sounds Like Decades of PAS Culminating in Murder

Sounds like the BM involved her current boyfriend (whose kid just got arrested on child porn charges by the way) and her grown kids in on her ex-husband's murder.

O/T Pet Blog--Last Night My Younger Cat Had a TICK on him!!!

thinkthrice's picture

So Chef discovered that there was an engorged TICK on my younger fur baby's neck!!! I'm sure there was a good way to remove it. I've heard alcohol, Vaseline, etc. etc.

So I heated up a pair of tweezers and removed the tick. I should have kept the tick for examination, however I was so disgusted, I tossed it into the fireplace.

Thanksgiving Went GREAT! With a few hitches

thinkthrice's picture

So I usually take Wednesday before Thanksgiving off to cook the entire day. I had my turkey brining by Monday evening and I cooked all day Wednesday from 7 a.m to 7 p.m. Then started back up Thursday morning.

On Wednesday about noon, got a call from Chef's oldest half brother (oldest from his Dad's first marriage--who, LOL has NOTHING good to say about Chef's mother aka eeeevvvviiiiiiiil stepmom)

Now try to follow me on this:

O/T Early Snowstorm Here! With Thanksgiving on the Way!

And just in time for Thanksgiving! I usually do a fried turkey outdoors and was planning on doing rotisserie duck on the grill--maybe some of the snow will clear off ahead of time?

I still need to buy Brussel sprouts and a few other items. . .

They've cancelled most of school here because of it. So at least I won't be dodging school buses on my way home.

Wow! You Can Get on the Honor Roll With a B Average!!

thinkthrice's picture

Never knew this!

Now Dominatrix (SD 18) who is finishing up the 2nd month of grade 12, is nowhere NEAR a B average, but I find it interesting that you can be on the honor roll with a B average.

When did THIS change? I thought that honor roll was an A average and high honor roll (which we didn't have back in the day, just honor roll) was an "A+" average.

Did the bar of expectations once again take a tumble while I wasn't looking?

When I was a kid (and my bios) the alpha grading was as follows:

Dominatrix (SD) Turned 18 Last Week. . .

And in quite a few areas of the U.S., CS would end. But not in good ol' NYS, although she just entered her senior year in HS. Her special ed reports keep on coming in stating that basically Dominatrix can do the work if she wants to do it and if she likes the subject.

I think that's true for pretty much everyone. However, in the special snowflake globe land that the Girhippo created, hard work is for everyone else. As is determination, persistence and the "old college try." Just simply give up if it isn't fun, FUN, FUN! That's the Girhippo Way!
