So typical.

BM called 2x Friday night, 5x Saturday and 5x Sunday. The last time on Sunday was while DH was opening his Father's Day present. DH threw his cell to SS12 and SS12 walked into the kitchen to talk to BM. She has awesome timing, I'll give her that.

Most of the problem is DH. He should have let the call go to voice-mail and had SS12 call BM after DH opened his present. The other part of the problem is BM; I heard SS12 say as he was walking out of the room, "Dad's opening his present." That should have been her que to call back later.

Last night DH started rehashing Mother’s Day. DH is angry at SS17 and SS12 because they didn’t acknowledge me on Mother’s Day. I guess they got me a card but forgot it at BM’s. DH had talked to them a couple of times (before Mother’s Day) about thanking all the women in their lives that love and support them. DH is going on and on about how he can’t believe they are so selfish and ungrateful.

When DH picked up the skids last night he told BM the following:

“A year from now SS17 will be 18 and graduating high school. I want you [BM] to know that if SS17 doesn’t do one of the following I will not continue to cover on our healthcare plan:

1. Attend college or trade school and work part-time.
2. Work full-time.
3. Work multiple part-time jobs where the total hours worked a week equal 40 hours.”

We just got back from our spring break vacation with the skids. Overall it was a good trip. This is the first family vacation we’ve had in 5 years. There are just a few things I need to vent about:

1. Thanks ever so much BM for letting SS12 do 3 sleepovers within the 2 weeks before our trip. This resulted in his “ear feeling funny”. So after a trip the our GP and a prescription for antibiotics we were on our way – driving cross country for 13 hours, with a sick kid, awesome.
