Midwest Flood

I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of all the SM's and SF's out there who have been affected by the Midwest flooding.

We're lucky. We came home Sunday to a wet basement. We've also got a leaking window on the first floor. Not a bid deal compared to the ppl who've lost homes and cars.

The school art show was this week. It wasn’t as bad as last year. Although I think I’ve mellowed. I feel sad for FH. Yet again BM collected all the boys art pieces and didn’t offer any of their artwork to FH. And yet again the boys ignored us.

I feel it would be easier on the boys if BM would at least acknowledge us by saying ‘hello’ – her ignoring FH sets the tone for the boys.

I stumbled upon this site 2 almost years ago, my BF and his 2 sons (SS11 and SS6) had just moved in and I thought I was going off the deep end. As I’ve never been married or had kids of my own, being part of a step family unit was a rude awakening. This site saved my sanity. Thank you to all you brave stepparents who are willing to share your wisdom. I only hope that I may be able to help someone else just as you have helped me.

BTW - The boys are with us EOW and EO-Monday nite. BF and I have come along way since then are getting married later this year.
