We are going on month 8 of verbal week on/ week off custody with BM. Things had been pretty good and when BM wanted SD on DH's time, he obliged, naturally.

We are having our baby shower on the 24th so that our out of town family can attend. We've planned it for over a month and it is our "week on" with SD. Until this morning.

Picky SD can't enjoy Irish cuisine

Or culture. Ok, I've heard food there can be bland. DH has been talking to SD everyday on GBM's phone and apparently SD found a good burger there once. I asked DH how SD was doing yesterday (they've been there 4 days now) and he said she's griping that the yogurt is sour and she can't find anything that she'll eat now.

Also, there's no kids her age at their 5 star hotels. What did she expect? She's travelling with her grandparents and I'm 100% sure buying tons of crap daily.

Homework help

SD13 is extremely blessed. She has everything she could ask for and more. BM's parents are taking her to Ireland for 11 days so SD is missing 9 days of school from the 16-26th. She got most of her homework ahead of time and math has been a struggle. She got caught "faking" her homework with 4 other kids in her class 2 weeks ago. This was getting the odd-numbered answers from the back of the book and fudging the work so now they are only assigned even-numbered problems.

Short vent- I am not the maid and personal chef!

We are so lucky to be on Fall Break this week! *sarcasm*. SD is home today and tomorrow (I didn't know this until yesterday) and is in the living room on the PlayStation playing with her friend. I took my dogs on a 2 mile walk this morning and came home to have a protein shake and peanut butter toast until DH gets home. He is bringing us burgers from a place he's going for lunch.

DH not listed on SD's medical contacts

From my post yesterday, BM asked me to take SD to her orthodonist appointment this afternoon and I forwarded her message to DH with no response. Well, BM is still CP on paper and has always taken SD to her appointments because they never fell on DH's timesharing (before the unofficial 50/50). Also, when we told SD we would take her to the appointments on our time, BM said no because she had to pay the copay.

BM has no shame

Usually my mom texts me before she goes to work by 8am so I assumed I'd wake up to her text this morning. Nope, it wasn't my mom. It was none other than.... BM!!

"Hi lady, hope everything is going good. SD has an orthodontist apt tomorrow at 330. Sorry for the late notice, can you take her after school tomorrow?"

The past few months SD has been telling us about her appointments on our time and when told that DH or I will take her, SD would say "no, BM said she has to take me and will bring me back after". Ok, whatever.

Skid treated unfairly at school

How many times have you all heard this? Nevermind SD got caught cheating along with 4 other kids in math. They were taking the odd-numbered answers from the back of the book and fudging the work instead of doing the actual steps.

Then she was caught passing a note to her friend (this also happened 2 years ago) and apparently both girls got lunch detention. DH said (BM actually stopped by his shop to tell him this) that SD was also made to write a 4 page essay and now the mean teachers wants another 2 page essay- but only from SD.

DH won't give up the delusion

After a stressful past week with SD, I was so relieved that Monday finally came this week. Then my hormonal ass sees SD's lunch container from last week in the sink after DH dropped her off at school. It was Thursday's leftovers that had been sitting in her lunchbox since Friday. Obviously she didn't bother to rinse the container out so it smelled like sauce and of course it was dried into the container. I yelled at DH and told him that he needs to help me with SD!

Freedom!

It is finally Monday, I never thought I could be so grateful! Last week was exceptionally sh!tty, not only because of the lunch time debacle. SD was just an a-hole all damn week. She was allowed to go to the movies last minute with her friend on Friday even though it was SIL's bday and she was our dinner guest. DH dealt with the pickup and drop off because I planned to host dinner.
