Silly SD

I love dogs's picture

SD's birthday is tomorrow and BM made plans to go out of town on DH's time this weekend so we were forced to have SD's party on a weekday. I did help organize it. It was understood that SD isn't going to camp tomorrow because of her actual bday and she's having a sleepover tonight but she wanted to stay home today to rest also. This morning, DH tells her if she wasn't leaving with him when he's ready, she's staying home. She said that BM isn't answering and she's waiting to see what she says.

SD must stay with BM to co-sleep

Yes, a 12 year old kid can't come over today for DH's week because she has had a hard time sleeping because of the ear infection and just wants to sleep with BM one more night. I told DH if that's the case, we should cancel her birthday party on Wednesday and the amusement park with her friends on Thursday. No, not that! She can still have a party and friends over. And BM still hasn't told him that they're going out of town on Friday- his time.

BM and DH communication

I had the pharmacist order more amoxicillin for SD so that she can restart the treatment for her ear infection. The urgent care doc said it's bacterial. I told SD that BM needed to consult a doctor before proceeding with treatment but SD said BM would not call a doctor and to not listen to me. So I took matters into my own hands and had DH tell BM that she needs to pick up the prescription from CVS after I made sure it was ordered.

SD ear infection worse

Well SD stopped taking her antibiotics as instructed on Monday even though she was told to finish them and take them to BMs. She calls me today and says that her ear pain is "excruciating" and can she come get the medicine? The ear drops are missing and I threw away the syringes to the amoxicillin because she didn't rinse them out and ants started crawling all over them. I was disgusted and threw them out because she already stopped taking the antibiotics anyway. She hasn't had them since Sunday evening even though she was told by BOTH OF US to finish them and how important it was.

SD took my heating pad to BMs

Grrrr tonight is not my night. Sorry for the random posts. Since SD had an earache last week, she was instructed to lay on a heating pad so I let her use mine. She started feeling better by Saturday night and refused to finish the amoxicillin and ear drops even though she was told to finish them to fight the infection.

Anyway, she took it to camp to use during reading/ naptime and now it's not here! Being the lazy, inconsiderate kid she is, it's either at camp or in her backpack at BMs. I text her because I'm looking for it and she won't answer.

OT cream and floral for wedding?

I love dogs's picture

We're invited to a wedding on Friday at a place that will be semi formal (I assume?) but it's at 4 in the afternoon. I was going to wear a floral jumpsuit but wore it to church on Sunday instead and the bride and groom saw me in it so I don't want to wear it again 5 days later to their wedding.

I found a maternity dress at Ross for only $7 so I grabbed it. The fitting room lady said it's not too white for a wedding and it's really the only dress I liked and felt comfortable in. Thoughts?

Baby may actually help me bond with SD

I love dogs's picture

SD has told pretty much everyone she knows about the baby including BM, GBM, and her camp leader. I guess it's good that she's excited. She is also trying to name baby a Greek god/ historical name and I kinda entertain her but am not considering them, of course. We did an at home gender blood test and the results said girl! All the test looked for was the Y chromosome in my blood but it's not 100% and all it proves is I didn't contaminate it with DH's DNA and the Y chromosome was not detected in my blood. I am 13w3d so the anatomy scan isn't until September 10th.

BM back to dictating our time

SD was up and eating breakfast at 7:20 and when asked how she felt, she didn't feel good (headache and tired, didn't sleep well) but wants to go to camp because BM said so. She went on to say that BM is a "workaholic" and wants to instill the same values in SD. By workaholic, BM works maybe 30 hours, 4 days a week and SD is on Medicaid under her so I don't think BM can exactly claim that title if she works so little that SD qualifies for state benefits.
