CPS came here and got the kids because "they should of been given to the grandparents last night" I so spit out "you do realize I have them because their grandpa has been beating ss with a belt, and their mother lives there with the grandparents" He said he didn't know she lived there and the "beatings" would be looked into after the investigators talk to the 3 kids. SO doesn't have 3 kids he has his two BM has a 3rd shes 13 haven't seen her since Christmas 2011 when she stole from us after spending the night AFTER BM had threatened to say SO molested her.

This week was going well, some of the stress of the recent weather related disaster has started to lift and recovery has begun to happen so I was able to step back from that a bit and study for finals, see my kids and engage as a mother and significant other again. Better news because of the disaster SO got a call to work (yay happy dance!) I asked him bluntly and point blank as my dad called to see if their help was needed transporting his kids if he was going to be able to get them to and from school with work. His response "oh yeah that won't be a problem." that was Wednesday.

Thanksgiving is coming and I just don't care

I've passed over all responsibility on the upcoming holiday, all coordinating with all the branches of family mine, SO's, and my exh's. I just don't want to bother. I told my own kids figure it out I just cannot deal with it, told SO figure it out I'm not giving two flips. Why? I'm instead focused on feeding 10,000 people yep that's right I'm making sure 10,000 people get to have Thanksgiving, get warm food in their bellies, hugs, a warm place to eat and are not forgotten or alone.

SO went to visit his dad and grandpa (who just moved in with SO's dad because his money grubbing wife just filed for divorce) Every year SO's dad's family has a big holiday party inviting all the family and renting a hall rather than trying to manage a bunch of people and holidays. SO doesn't go. However he's been working on his relationship with his dad so I brought up asking about when it is so we can go.

6 yr old kicked out of school

SS was kicked out of school today, BM of course couldn't be reached so SO went and got him. Apparently his behavior the last 2 days has been atrocious he's been removed from class frequently on BM's weeks and they've had enough. The principal has a degree in child psych and see's there is obvious differences in both kids behavior depending on who's week it is. I told SO he needs to ask for a meeting at the school and get a behavior plan in place. H was regularly kicked out of before/after care (BM uses it we don't) he was always in trouble last year.

Thursday, Halloween SO called to talk to his kids at 7 per the CO. Now he knew the kids might still be trick or treating but called figuring that #1 BM would be with them and could hand them the phone or #2 if she wouldn't he could ask they call him back when they were done. BM answered told SO "the kids are out trick or treating." He asked they call him when they get back she of course doesn't.
Yesterday ss calls (he calls SO fairly regular on BM's Fridays we're pretty sure based on the nature BM has him do this)

Exh filed for cs modification in Aug. hearing was today with the state guy since I use CSE. State guy asks why ex wants to mod he tells him cause he was laid of the good job almost 2 years ago but he got another job AFTER all his unemployment ran out. Guy tells him he should of modified then. Ex says he was "sacred to" (wtf) Then then he says quit his current job 2 weeks ago because "My employer and I had a difference of opinion" state guy says oh okay well we can abdicate your cs back to the date you filed. Signed and done WTF just happened here?

So far so peaceful

I had surgery yesterday. This puts me off my feet longer than I was initially led to believe. Originally the PA said "oh you'll be right back to normal activity" but that didn't seem right since they were going to be cutting into my leg. Sure enough day of comes around doc tells be 2-3 weeks before he wants me doing much of anything. I had made some arrangements for SO's kids my parents stepped in with them so that SO could focus on me during and right after surgery, tomorrow they are helping as my son has his last game and SO is really going to have to help me out.
