8 days vacation and no SDs. Was totally fun and exhausting and lovely.
We talked a lot (not unusual) and even about SDs with no real issues, just talking. DP only got a little hinky when the subject of monitoring electronic devices came up (on his side)...all I said was you will probably want to monitor use if you are concerned (I know BM is and has said so)...he is just not ok with checking MINOR girls use. Even though we found out SD11 set up an account for SD9, in SD9 name, and is using it. I am out of that, I told him. You and BM need to work it out...

Back a day early!

DP returned with SD11 a day early. Gah!
Was hoping for a peaceful Friday night wine/movie alone with Cover.

Random stuff everywhere, I see something left in my car (which tomorrow will be thrown on lawn).
SD11 loud and annoying, playing video game on her phone. DP trying to engage but failing. SD showing off her "flexibility" (aka displaying her vajay-jay which I don't let her do in front of me let alone in a store...).

Time off!!!

Ok, so the holiday weekend wasn't too bad. DP got on SD11 for some things (11.5 yo attitude) and cleaned up SD9 toilet issue...flushing happened all day yesterday! He also picked up the remnants of things left in slob SD11 bedroom after they left.

SD11 driving me nuts with her little nose in the air attitude...entitled girl...SD9 was super good almost the whole time, just s little whiney in the morning, aka 11:30 am. Didn't let it stop me at all.

DP came down on SD11!

I was careful to not act too happy but to be solemn and supportive. Dirol

DP and I spent HOT morning taking care of house stuff. SD11 had a friend over (who I like). Around 11:30 SD11 starts complaining that she isn't At the pool yet. Snotty like. DP tells her that if she's bored to go clean up her room. Of course that cannot happen since her friend is there. She talks back hard to DP, I say to him..."princess" and walk away. Regretted that but it got him moving.

Dentist and SD11

As we know, many SKs don't brush teeth. Neither does SD11. Well if she brushes once a week she doesn't use toothpaste of any kind. I have noticed her teeth starting to yellow but I don't approach this topic at all with her or DP. Just letting it play out.

8 days of bliss gone!

SDs arrived after a space of 8 lovely days.

* SD11 again states she's not hungry after dinner is served. Cover is now done making anything whatsoever with SD11 in mind.

* SD9 is filthy. Head to toe. Whatever. The only thing is I had her wash her face after she sat down to dinner because it was so gross. I engaged so I could eat. She did do It with no questions though which was nice.

* they went nuts loud after dinner. I cleaned up what I needed to get leftovers ready for my lunch and went out to the front deck to get away.

It's not fair...

DP and I were talking about the July 4th weekend. He got information late last week that some relatives he wants to see are home for the July 4 holiday/week (?) and he would like to take me and SDs to see them.

Me: That's fine but July 4 weekend is going to really suck for driving, i.e. traffic issues (the location is about 3 hours driving time away...with no traffic).

DP: Yeah, but we won't go on the travel days.

Me: ??

DP: We'd leave after the 4th.

DP get it together.

This morning running late again because DP can't get SD9 out of bed. He tells me to 'not make this into an issue.'

Oh really! ''DP the same thing happened last weekend. I am not going to schede my day around whenever SD9 gets out of bed. I have things to do. I have two days off a week (he has a more flexible schedule) and this is my ONE day to get this done. I want tomorrow off to really relax. Do you get it?!"
Somewhere in there DP said "stop judging me" and it took all my effort to not react by saying YES I AM!

DP got SD9 out of bed and into car.

DP texts me hello this morning at 10:00 am.
"Hi there! So girls are still in bed."

Um, yeah. Because SD9 has your iPad and SD11 has her computer.
Duh!
They aren't sleeping in (which is what he thought).

He said again last night, "I need to get the control on the WiFi so it turns off at a reasonable hour." Because he can't possible TAKE AWAY the electronics from SDs at night.
This is about the 5th time I've heard this statement so I just nod and say, "Uh-huh."
