Insurance cards

Does anyone here have to give other bio-parent insurance cards with YOUR information on them?

I'm covered by DH's plan, and he's mandated to cover the kids and provide BM with the cards.
So my information in on the cards along with stepkids and our kid.

Has anyone ever had a BM abuse this information by claiming to be wife still? Just wondering... I've found that many times, the providers only ask for DH's information to verify, which she knows, so I'm a little worried.

Can't pretend any longer...

I haven't mentioned it here as yet, but I'm pregnant. It was planned. Just shit happens that you don't plan for. We finally told the stepkids. They are excited, I was relieved, but then I just began to feel like I want to just die.

I've had to stifle my tears while they were here, but they're gone to grandma's for the night, and all my feelings are just leaking out.

OMG!

My stepkids are sitting reading books. Voluntarily! :jawdrop:

I feel so proud. I made them read books I assigned earlier today, as some preparation for school starting on Mon. DH was at work. But voluntarily??? On a Fri night??? Choosing the books off the shelf?? WOW!

It does help though that baby is asleep in the room they all share (so no Wii or Xbox or Videos available for entertainment), and DH is using the family computer (which is kinda like our TV) to watch basketball.

Just wanted to wish everyone a great day - as wonderful as it can possibly be.

It's just me, DH and baby today... cooking and cleaning and with zero presents to open, but the presence of ourselves and a beautiful day to spend together making memories. Smile

I'm missing my family like crazy but will call them later.

Ever since the "Conference" in my home regarding SD12, two very annoying things have happened:

1. It seems that the stepkids now feel more comfortable sharing with me the details of what's going on with BM and her family. Every weekend now I have to hear about these people and what they bought and what they did and who's fighting with who and what naughty things their cousins did and the worst is when the talk about mom never ends.

Punishment Weekend is Over

Sigh.

I feel mentally worn out from having SD for a "punishment weekend" due to the fact that I had to constantly monitor her and give her school-work and chores etc. And, since the meeting with BM, it seems she is more comfortable to talk about mom and mom's family, so I got more than I really wanted to hear.

BM was just IN my House for an emergency family conference with DH and ME and the kids regarding the kids' behavior at her house and their attitude towards her!!

OMG. The things you do for your stepkids and the man you love!

HAVE to blog about this, but also HAVE to get to bed.
