Well this is an interesting turn of events

A few months ago we told DS and OSS if they had trouble finding jobs this summer they we would help them out financially a bit more this coming school year. 

We were talking last night and DH said he has no problem helping out DS and just sending him money/cash but that there's no way he's giving OSS cash, that he'd only pay for any extras where he can pay directly to someone else or in a way OSS can't get cash from it or barter using it. It wasn't me trying to get him to agree; he said it.

Wow folks. Wow.

And so mean. 

I'm basking just off Karma island in the warm waters of Taste of Your Own Medicine bay. 
 

To recap recent events: OSS ghosting DH, doing pot, and currently two states away with friend from here meeting up with a stranger they met online. And I said YSS has turned into a decent human already at just under 18. 

Sigh. Seriously OSS and BM?

Welcome back to the show. If you'll remember in our last episode DS is a blabbermouth and informed me that YSS and OSS aren't getting along, OSS still won't come to do work, OSS is doing a large amount of weed--enough to have extra to sell to others, and DH overheard OSS and other kids talking about buying from OSS. And now the continuing story:

Things I found out this week that I didn't need to know nor did I ask to know.

1. XH is losing his job and hasn't found another one yet and hasn't been trying all that hard. This means his college fund for DS may be getting looted or doing poorly (the guy is bad with mone).

2. XH has spent thousands of dollars on his pets this year. And based on what I was told, he's not being thoughtful and practical about it.

3. YSS and OSS are not getting along at all.

4. YSS looks down on OSS for not getting a job and not doing things himself to save money.

And no one is surprised, yet someone is running out of reasons

Seems like DHs excuse/reason facade is cracking.

He again invited YSS and OSS over to help with a project (and pay them). He assumed they were coming in the morning because YSS has to work in the afternoon. There was no actual confirmation from them but DH still went out this morning, before I even got up, and got groceries to be able to feed them lunch and dinner.

Sorry for the false starts if anyone say the blank post. Cat jump on my stomach and it posted. 
I accidentally said something about a beat up car and wondered if it was YSSs. DH made the comment that the car is still on blocks in BMs garage. But that it's her problem. 
Luckily he didn't remember my offer six weeks ago to help post it to a friend who know people who might buy it. DH and BM and YSS never got me the info so I dropped it. And I didn't say anything this time. I offered. They did nothing. Not my job to chase after them begging to help.

DH and I have been doing the wearable sleep monitors for a couple days now. His deep sleep is way low and only been in a decent range one day. Deep sleep is when you set down memories and move them to long term storage. 

Perhaps our SOs don't get enough deep sleep and truly "don't remember it that way." Makes me wonder what things in his previous marriage to BM were affected by this lack or if it's come on gradually.

Watching videos of other people playing video games. Found out that OSS is spending double-digit hours per day watching other people play. Not to learn anything, just as entertainment. 

I do not enjoy sun bathing or binge-watching shows so sitting inert for many hours...I can't wrap my head around that in any way. 

Bah, ha, ha, ha, ha...

I shouldn't laugh. But found out today from DS/YSS that BM has put herself and OSS on a diet!

I find it funny because: 

-BM is the one who told the doctor years ago when OSS was fast on his way to becoming rounder than he was tall: well, he likes his cookies and candy. (Like an excuse and a reason)

-DH would waffle between pushing the kid to get exercise and eat right and dropping the whole thing and getting junk food (but not tell me so I never knew what stage he was at so I was always wrong with whatever I said)

And no one is surprised, but someone has an excuse

Oh, I'm sorry. Not an excuse, a "reason."

DH offered to the skids to come over here to do some work and be paid for it. No surprise only YSS showed up. Why wasn't OSS here? He's busy. What, possibly, could a 19yo without a summer job and not taking summer classes be doing so that he's too busy to come here?
