Baby's First Detention
YSS stb 12 just got his first two day detention (that I know about) for blowing off his science and math homework. I see he's following in the footsteps of his older siblings and why shouldn't he when neither the BM nor Chef EVER made their kids do ANYTHING that they didn't WANT to do.
The note said that they had a CONFERENCE (the "talking to" TM) with YSS (and not the BM)
They CALLED the BM and left a VOICE MAIL message so obviously, because there was no note of BM being at the "conference" it wasn't a concern of hers.

Talked to a computer customer of mine last night on a side job. She's well into her seventies; still working, most likely out of necessity; biodad, her husband, is retired. She is the second wife of a guy who has, now GREAT grand kids. This guy went through the whole Parental Alienation route by his ex-wife, the 300 lb BM who he STILL writes an alimony check to every month!

Blue Collar vs White Collar
World according to Chef: First of all, white collar workers are all lazy, shiftless bums (because they make much more money than Chef and therefore the grapes are getting sourer by the moment).
Second, blue collar men DO NOT put up exterior holiday lighting. This is because blue collars do the "manly" "big" jobs around the house, namely, plumbing, hvac, carpentry, etc. They don't have TIME to do fiddly, girly stuff like put up exterior decor, or lawn care, hot tub care, water softener care, general yard work, gardening, etc. (but DO have time to watch an afternoon of football).

Glad to See All That CS Is Going to a Good Cause (sarcasm tags OFF)
SD16 is currently crater failing (defined as at least 10 points below the fail mark)in:
1. "Pre" Algebra
2. English
3. Biology
4. Global Studies
5. Spanish (????? she can't even read at a 5th grade level in ENGLISH)
6. "Health" (although she did get an A+ in the birth control portion, but a D- in reproduction ???)
She continues to have her smart phone, her social media postings, and nights over at her girlfriends house during the week.
BM continues to autopilot non-parent.

I"ll start. I am in IT. Could call it "desktop support." Hardware/Software issues and deployment as well as some networking and I make all the sysprepped images.

Blog hog alert. So after 10 months of "I WUUUUV OOOOOO" SD16's gigantic unemployed 20 yr old BF discovers that SD is (and I quote) "Very Moody"
No shit.
This kid has been brought up to have ZERO empathy for anyone other than herself. She is an utter and complete underachieving narcissist.
My Daughter Tries to Explain to Chef How to Load a Dishwasher!!
My grown daughter (she's 33) saw me unloading the dishwasher yesterday that Chef had loaded. And in this case it wasn't one of the worst dishwasher loading jobs that Chef has done (I have photos!)
She looked at it horrified and said to me: "Can't you teach him how to load a dishwasher?" I said "It's pointless; you can't teach Chef anything."
So she walked over to Chef and said "Chef, when you load a dishwasher, the dishes have to be facing the sprayer!"
Thanksgiving MIRACLE!!
Chef did NOT shoot his mouth off ONCE!!! I did involve him more in the prep this year so less time to get sauced!!!
He didn't buy any bourbon for himself yet. Which is like firewater to him. Instant Asshole in a Glass.
I did buy CHEAP bourbon to cook with and he tasted it but that was that.
Seems his tastes are changing. No more low end beer that taste like water. He is drinking better beer and less of it. He's still a drunk and loves to call OTHERS alcoholics (project much?)

Stupidity, Passive-Aggressiveness or Just Plain Carelessness?
Chef, who used to be an EXCELLENT handyman and could bang out a great job in NO time, has now become slower, and SLOWER and S-L-O-W-E-R. Not only that but QUALITY is definitely on the wane. Projects will be procrastinated for months and months (yep still the TWO tires wait to be put on the snowblower)
It is taking him FOR-EVER to simply put a toilet and utility sink back in, put down the peel and stick faux slate floor and put up some cedar paneling on approximately a 6" x 6" floor (the laundry room).
