Pregnancy Dementia? (OT)

Well I never thought that being pregnant could bring such a crazy change in everything about me. I'm so emotional right now and I don't know what to do. My mom is away visiting her sisters and my best friend, well she does not think that DH is good enough for me, so she's hard to talk to. So here it is, the things that have me wondering if maybe we are not right for eachother.

My Mom, Momma, Mommy, Mother post has seemed to strike a chord.

How many step-kids are now Step-Talkers?

How many of you called your step-parents by their first names? How many called the parents as "Mom" or "Dad"? And how many had some sort hybrid name?

When did you meet your step-parents? Does this make a difference in your relationship with them?

To all the BMs with Skids older then your BKids, what do your Skids call you? Has it affected what your child calls you?
My SD is 3 and a half and she calls me by my first name. She started calling me "mom" when she found out I was her Stepmom but someone (maternal grandmother) told her that she was NOT allowed to call me mom. This kid loves me and has shown that she prefers me to her mom but she is afraid to call me mom.

This is it. Gloves are off and BM is in for it.

We was BM in the grocery store on Xmas eve. SD was holding my hand and I felt her grip tighten when she saw "Mommy". DH says to SD, "go say hi to mom", Sd pipes up "Hi". So Dh says "No sweety go give her a hug and kiss" so SD (three and a half years old) runs over to mom, gives her a quick kiss and hug then runs back and grabs my hand, almost breaking fingers I should add. Right infront of BMs best friends. So we chit chat alittle bit and carry on our way.

So wow... I never thought that prenancy could be such a total life makeover. I knew being a new mom would be difficult and trying but I say again wow. I have no urge to do anything other then eat and sleep. If I try to do anything else I generally feel nauseus enough to merit laying down and going to sleep. So heres my issue.
We are getting my SD on the 20th of Dec for two weeks.

YAY!!!!

So finally after a year of trying I get a positive pregnancy test this morning! Yay! (Too bad I go on course tomorrow for a week out of town... :-S)
