BM's birthday/My Birthday

Smellissa's picture

Today is BM's birthday, and mine is on Saturday. SD12 KNOWS it is BM's birthday (both SDs do, actually), but does not give one crap about it. HOWEVER, she has been talking about my birthday for the last eight days!

Every single day, SD has been doing a countdown. Yesterday, it was because Hubby was going to the store, "Don't let him forget the brownies!". (We make brownies for breakfast on Birthdays, and SD12 is excited to make mine! LOL)

Today, it was "Are you excited for Saturday?" I said "No, what's Saturday?" SD12 told me, "It's your birthday, and I'm excited!"

Deodorant brands?

So, this is a spin-off from the earlier post about BO. I was wondering if anyone knows of a particular deodorant brand that works really well?

My SDs use lady speedstick, suave, or degree in a stick under their armpits. Sometimes, they do a whole body spray of the canned stuff (if we are going to be out in the sun). They are showering every night, and washing up every morning, but still, sometimes they STINK!

Heartless people! </3 I have a new fur baby

My cousin has been looking at houses in her area (about an hour away from me), and one of them, she has gone back to more then once. Well, there was a cream colored cat, hanging out around the house, EVERY TIME she went there. It just kept trying to get back into the house, and wasn't afraid of people.

So, she was there on Saturday, and saw the cat again. She picked it up, and found out that it was a neutered male, and it had scratches on it's face. Of course, she came home and messaged me about it on Facebook, because we are both cat lovers.

Probably not as bad as it feels, but BM is drying out from the drugs

BM IS officially homeless. (It's not another lie to make myself and SDs feel guilty this time! It was confirmed by Oldest Sister.) OS (oldest sister) says BM has been in a battered women's shelter for 30 days already. On July 25th BM's Facebook status was "Single and missing my babies!" Ugh!

<3 Awe! <3 I'm important to them!

This morning, SD12 asked me if I was anxious for my birthday. I told her that I wasn't really anxious, but excited because it will be my first birthday with both girls in home. Then, SD told me that she will buy me something but it will be small, because she only has a dollar something. (We provide for the girls, but they don't get an allowance. The dollar she has is leftover from Christmas!)

So, I asked both girls if they wanted me to call their dad, and ask him if he'll give them $5.00 so they can shop for my birthday. They both said yes, so I called Hubby.

SD15 has a boyfriend!

Sd15 has a boyfriend. He is her first boyfriend, ever, and her first kiss ever! He's 18, but I like him!

The reason I like him? Because when SD15 told him she liked him, he said "You are only 15 and we can't date!" After that, SD15 kept talking to him, so I told her that if she is going to spend this much time "talking" (on Facebook) to him, I want to get to know him, to.

It feels great to feel normal!

This morning, Hubby woke up and made breakfast for me and the two girls. SD15 stayed on her phone (yes, she got it back, with parental monitors on it now). SD12 slept on the couch, and I sat on the other couch, groggy but smiling!

It was funny to hear Hubby grumble about SD15 talking about boys IN A NORMAL WAY! She had a med change shortly before all the drama started. It took us a month to realize that had happened, and get her in to the PDoc. It took her a week to become pretty normal again. Now, she is working on earning all of her privileges back!

Family reunion (Blog Hogging)

My dad's side of the family is from the Appalachian Mountains. They have some weird customs, but they are also really neat! One of them is our family reunion.

The family reunion is held on a mountainside, that is also the family cemetery. Every second Sunday in July, the family migrates to our mountain, for a church service, and potluck dinner in the cemetery. The cemetery happens to be a mile and a half almost straight uphill, and you cannot get there without a four wheel drive - unless it rains.. then you just cannot get there!
