I Guess CS Doesn't cover femine products

DH picks up SD15 last night for a long weekend visit. When he walks in the door he pulls me aside and asks that I run out and buy tampons for SD15. Apparently, SD15 has had trouble every month getting these from her BM. How can a mom not pick up tampons? She has to go to the store at least once a week so why not just pick them up? It's not like they live in an area where SD15 can just walk to the store they live in the middle of nowhere. I will never understand this lady. Luckily, I have a nice stash in my bathroom I was able to give to her.

OT/Cell Phone Tapping & Worried about my Good Friend

I was wondering if there are any cell phone savvy steppers on here that can answer a question for me.

My neighbor is a sweet single mom of a 7 year old and 4 months ago became involved with a local police officer that was going through a rough divorce. Basically, this guy has taken advantage of my neighbor in every way since they first met.

Feeling Down Today

8 months ago against the advice of many people my DH and I put a contract on a home that was a short sale held by Bank of America. We thought having this much time would allow us to be in the home before my daughter started kindergarten or when our "rate lock" would expire. Well, today we decided to pull the contract because we can no longer hold the great interest rate we had. This interest rate was so low that we didn't have to bring any money for closing (VA loan so no money down) and we were getting a heck of a deal.

Just called BM Kraken to DH

Oops. After reading over the favorite names and sayings on this site I answered a call from DH asking if I was ok with SD15 coming over again this weekend. I blurted out "I guess the Kraken doesn't need a babysitter for this weekend". Lucky for me then DH started with "Release the Kraken!!" and we giggled.

Thankful that we both have a good sense of humor!

Paying CS over the age of 18-Well this will suck.

Last week we get a call from BM telling my DH that her husband is going to drop SD14 from his insurance and would we be willing to cover it. When DH asked BM why she told him that they had been paying it her whole life and now it's our turn. Well ok, but you guys have family military insurance and please let me know if I am wrong but once you have more than one child the rate stays the same, correct?

OT Helping out someone vs helping yourself?

Before I ask let me give a little background on DH and I the past 4 years.

4 years ago DH and I were doing ok. We were renting a small apartment, paying CS, bills, and both working full time. Then our world dropped out from us when DH lost his sales job. In a small amount of time we had to give up our apartment, pull DD out of daycare, and move into my Dad and Step Mom's basement. We stayed there for a year until we could get back on our feet and DH found a great job that pays well and that he loves.
