O/T Can I just say...

Heroin sucks.
Alcoholism sucks.
Cancer sucks.

But what sucks the most is not being able to help. I've lost a co-worker to brain tumor in March, a former coworker to heroin over the weekend and SO has a friend who is about to drink himself into oblivion any day now and they're all under 40.

Not a happy camper today.

Marathon IEP's make my mind ache

SS11's IEP meeting was yesterday and -excuse me whike i get bragadocious for a sec but we have worjed our tail feathers off with this kid-despite stellar grades and great behavior SS is doing extended school year again this year because we made BIG gains this school year and are looking at making the push to close the reading grade level gap over the summer with ESY and help from my BFF who just so happens to be a literacy specialist.

It sucks he's going to have another month of school this summer but this window isn't the kind that just hangs open.

BM is buying me shirt?

BM1 texted SO yesterday asking what size shirt I wear?

She said she is getting shirts for me and her other son's step mother.

Besides wishing she would just spend the money on the children she's neglected for the past year, I started wondering what in God's name this shirt is going to say.

Then I thought-I bet my friends on StepTalk will have some funny ideas.

Please make this whole ordeal less annoying.

I need to get this out before it comes out of my mouth.

SO went to visit SD6 tonight and learned that she was hospitalized over the weekend. He had tried to see her for Easter but was told that her schedule was full.

I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF BM2's FREAKING MARTYR ACT I COULD SPIT.

Hey! You should clean the yard up! It will make it easier to spread the tick repellent.

Then you thought:
Wow that was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It took longer too. I'm tired. Hey! You should go clean your car! And while your at it-you should wash it too.

Your next winning thought was:
Yes, I can take just this one work call on vacation. MISTAKE.

After that you thought:
Yeah, sure I can take the wind knots out of your horse's mane Dad.

OT Tick Meltdown

UGH.

The first time we spend a significant time outside and there was tick crawling on BD2.

I have researched my eyeballs out.

I figured it was worth a shot to see if any of you guys had any recommendations.

We live in rural New York.

BM2 is officially blocked.

She got her panties in a bunch about my response this morning and the audacity I had to not respond to her accusatory nonsense while I was WORKING.

What is it with these people thinking they are the center of everyone's universe.

I told her I had held my tongue and stayed out of the weirdness between her and SO. But I had had enough. And I let her have a piece of my mind.

I told her I cannot and will not fix it.

BM2 is getting on my nerves lately.....

SO is really sick. He's been pretty sick going on a week now. This is a man who will not miss work no matter what is going on and he hasn't been all week.

BM2 gets paid her CS on Thursday when SO gets paid. Sometimes he can't link up with her or see SD6 so he'll drop the money off on Monday or Tuesday. EVERY WEEK she starts harassing him for money on Wednesday. This stops for Thursday and then starts harassing him about again, first thing on Friday.

Knock on wood. This is probably the dullest post of the day...

I've been spending some time doing things for myself lately and I've tried limiting electronic time (which has been mostly eaten up by researching vibrating underwear which then lead to more interesting topics which then lead me to expand upon my thesis that I wrote in college and then...long story short it all left little time for ST Sad but I was keeping Tabs on ya'll)

My BD has been with the same daycare provider since she was 4 months old. She was the only one near my office building at the time with availability. She is not certified, but has been really good. We live in a very rural area, and with our recent move, we have decided to keep Daycare consistent instead of changing everything at once on BD2. In order to do so, I drive her 30 mins one way.
