Quick rant.

So today is my birthday. SO built me a beautiful light for the kitchen. Farmhouse theme like the rest of our house. I asked for the light for my birthday...  that's how you know your getting old haha. 

Anyways, had to run around this morning return some stuff, pick SS16 and SD13 up at school, drop SO's car off to get new tires, went out to eat quick(had to be back by 6:30 because SS16 had his last class of driving school to finish) SS17 had to work (3-8) and was off from school.

Coincidence or not...

So as my pervious blog BM is taking SD today instead this of this weekend to get her nails done. 
 

My guess is because it's going to be nice this weekend she has plans to be on her motorcycle. 
 

I keep track of every time BM does something with skids in the notes in my phone just because you never know when/if you might need that info. This isn't hard because they can fit into a screen shot for a year.. 
 

So looking at my notes... BM has taken SD a day before my birthday in 2019, today she will taking her 2 days before my birthday. 
 

Acrylic Nails 2.0

Well.. as I predicted acrylic nails 2.0 is in the works. 

The summer of 2019 BM took SD 4 times to get her nails done. It stopped in august 2019 and that was the last time until nov 2020 that she had done anything one on one with her. 

SO calls me on break earlier this morning saying he got a text from SD asking if he cared if BM takes her to get her nails done next week. He replied I don't care... naturally. Then she followed with.. "the are the fake ones though." SO responded back with of you want too. 
 

OT: new reality show idea..

They should make a reality tv show for spoiled entitled kids. Like a scared straight or even how they did celebrity roast. 
 

How much fun would that be?? Today is my "Thursday" at work clearly I am not being that productive haha. 
 

What would we name it though? I am thinking maybe.. "Reality Check! The real world vs. your world"

Well as most of you know I have a good relationship with SD13 but, last night she made the comment (because she was in trouble kind of) "I am just going to move to my moms because I can't do anything right!" *insert eye roll. SO and I were both upstairs at this point but, I'm certain that's what she said. 

Now... this is something she has never once said or entertained before because well... BM is a POS. She floods their phones with "mommy loves you" and time hops from when they were small though. That's all she has.

Well... with Valentine's Day approaching I thought I'd share my flowers story.

This blends into something else I struggle with when it comes to my relationship with SO. (I'll explain in the end) 

In the beginning of my relationship with SO he bought me flowers often. Just because flowers. I was never a "flowers" girl but, I appreciated them none the less.

Two years in we were driving to his brothers house for his nephews birthday party. He had bought me flowers that day and he was talking about the place he would get them from and how they had "nice" ones that day.

Update to my approach with SO on puppy and what BM might pull.

Well, SO called me to say that BM texted him to tell him how proud she was of SD for her teachers recommendation to put her into advanced science next year. (She will be starting high school) SD brought this up last night already but, the teacher sent an email today to them. 
 

Blah blah blah BM you don't contribuate to any part of actually raising these kids.

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is well in the new year! I took a mini mental break and I'm doing better now. The death of our dog really took an emotional toll on me (and everyone else especially SO and SS16) so had to take a step back. I was crying for days.  I was impressed with SD and how well she took it and SS17 was upset but seemed to get over quicker.
