Ok going to make this quick. Not step related. 

We frequent a local bar (where SO and I met) and A LOT of people SO works with hang out there.

There is the couple (they are always in a group) who are there often that SO works with.. SO has not once introduced me to them. They hang out with one of his best friends and the girlfriend (who works for the same company as SO and dad was a "legend" in the company) always gives SO a hug.

BM new job?

Ugh been so busy but wanted to blog about this quick! 

So Wednesday SD has BM make a nail appointment (she has homecoming today) for Thursday. You guys know the only thing BM does every month. 
 

WELL! SD says to SO that BM made an appointment but SD needs a ride to her house because: "she got a new job and can't leave early now."  Like what??!!? 
 

Just thoughts.

WELL! I've been so busy at work and I'm not on step talk much while I'm home so I haven't been able to read/comment as much as I like haha.

We leave for vacation Sunday and I'm so excited! Today I have the house to myself which I don't even know when the last time this happened. No one here just me and the dogs! 

I am cleaning and doing stuff here and there to get ready to leave.

So every time I see someone post on the book and begin their status with that... I instantly cringe. 

Why is just moms? Why can't it be dads? Why can't it be a step parent (who could be bioless)  who have raised their step kids? Why can't it be a family member (who could be bioless) who is helping raise a child? Why does it HAVE to be a mom?? 

Things like this is way the courts etc will NEVER change... Moms will ALWAYS be favored not matter what..

So because I didn't birth the kids I live with means I know nothing about raising them...

Could SS16 (soon to be 17) handled this himself??

SS16 got into a fender bender leaving school today. Messed his car up more then the kid he bumped in to...

I happen to call SO while he was leaving to go to the school and he is all ranting and raving about SS16.. I can't believe this happened blah blah.

I proceeded to say (about 30 minutes later on a different phone call) that SS16 doesn't pay attention to shit... and naturally when you rear end someone it's your fault.

So.. SS18s GF broke up with him last week. We knew it would happen eventually but I didn't think it would be this quick. Now he has been friends with this girl through high school but she wasn't ever interested in him. All of his friends are mixed in with this girl so he wasn't seeing any of his friends. I'll add she's 18 with no job, not going to school, and no license yet.. apparently working on all of them.. she comes from an INTACT family too. Complete failure to launch.

Small rant/vent

So SD started getting her nails done again so BM is taking her once a month for them. 

So recap BM picked SD up in July for a 35 minute ride in her new toy (jeep wrangler according to SD her and her husband spilt it .. she still has her car on top of their multiple motorcycles) brought her to kohl's so she could return Amazon returns, didn't offer to get SD anything and brought her home. 
 

She brought her in august before school to get her nails. Came and picked her up in the jeep. The jeep had some new accessories on it in august.

Strange.

SO's nephew had a Jack and Jill today. Long story short..SO's brother's 2nd ex wife(grooms ex step mom) was there and everyone has never been together like that before.

I observed. I'll add that his brother has 4 kids two with first wife two with second wife. His brothers oldest is only two years younger then me.

Need advice.. How to not care/be happy.

This has a potential to be all over the place so I am going to apologize in advance.

Many of you know my situation and for a long time now I've found myself permanently angry 24/7. 

It's a combo of step life just about life in general. 

My relationship with SO is just suffereing more and more and I'm feeling totally defeated with everything.

Everyone knows BM is a POS. WELL... she just picked SD (first time this whole summer for a luxury Walmart trip) up in a new car.. and guess what it is??!! A 4 door Jeep Wrangler that I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO BUY FOR OVER A YEAR NOW.

I ended up not getting one last year because I wanted to wait for the newer body style prices to go down (so the 2019/2020s) I should have bought one in the winter but, with the prices now I refuse to buy one and pay 5-8k over.
