SD17 (almost 18) Winona demanding she have a pet now.

We have the Noah's Ark of a household, and apparently this is how SO rolls. Cats, kittens, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, lizards, fish, birds. Currently we have 1 dog, 1 hamster, 2 bunnies, 2 parakeets and 4 koi. That's a lot of upkeep! I am usually the one who takes care of them, and has insisted SD10 be good about cleaning up and feeding of her rabbit.

BM Boyfriend Fired - Happy Friday

CLove's picture

Well not really.

You see, I was the one who recommended the boyfriend (I call him Tweedle Dum) to my friends who own a business. He was making really good money, able to contribute to BM's household financially, and my friends BOTH ABSOLUTELY LOVED HIM. They told me that he was always there for them when they needed someone to cover, the clients loved him, he was very responsible and very friendly, and very nice. (you would have to be extra nice/controllable to put up with BM...)

So BM texted SO, who texted me, and the story just doesn't make much sense.

A Rainbow appearing

Well, things have been more or less fairly peaceful since I disengaged. I say hello, goodbye, good evening and good morning (when I feel like it). I make simple requests, and do not lecture or interject my opinion any longer. This has made life tolerable. My disengagement could not have come at a better time, because Skids have decided that they want a 5-day loop now instead of just 3-day visits. This was done without any discussion with me, and I am still steamed about it, naturally.

Antidepressants and SD

CLove's picture

I have 2 SD's and one is extremely messed up. In the literal.figurative.emotional sense - and I do not know what to feel. I am conflicted on this one, because I KNOW that depression is an illness and I KNOW that some folks need medications to help them get to that better place in their lives.

Baby-Step improvements

Funny Story:

Friday night was skid night, but little one had a sleepover, and big one was watching grandma. I approached SO with my idea - if SD17 wants to live with us full-time, we will "task her" starting now, so she gets a taste of what life is like in our household. I told him "think about it, its just an idea". LOL.

Door off for almost a month...food and dishes everywhere...equity partner-ship has sailed

By now, the repetition has grown tiring. SD17 Winona hasn't been to any stores lately. She has been mostly quiet, and under the radar. Until last night of course. Her door has been off her room for a month now. the morning stench of cheap perfume is cloying and the sound of her nightly singing just pisses me off. Not to mention her video-watching noise. Her father asked her to keep her noise down, as we were watching a movie and she popped off "you wouldn't be bothered by my noise if I had a door on". I heard that and heard the word "Jesus".

Auntie tells us what we should and should not allow in our own home - just a little frustrated

This weekend wasn't absolutely horrid. The superbowl party was fun - both SD's hung out with their cousins, and SO and I watched in the big room with his family. SO has a large family, he is the youngest of 10 siblings and his 94-year old mother is still around and kicking it. She requires constant care, which is taken care of by one male sibling, and the weekends are shared among the remaining local siblings - about 4 of them. My SO - he absolutely refuses to take his turn. So he pays SD17 to do this.
