BM2....an entirely different Christmas story....

mommadukes2015's picture

So SO took BD3 over to BM2's parents house today to give SD7 her Christmas presents. Of corse they always have some gifts for SS and BD as well. BD has been there a few times before and as an extremely extroverted child has adopted BM2's parents as her own too, she calls them Meme and Papa because that's what SD7 calls them, and according to SO, like most people in BD's life they are thrilled about this. BD loves going to play with her big sister and while not ideal yet, it's better than it was.

It was not a BM free Christmas....

You know, I never knew a person could have so much presence and not be present.

This is the hard part, the part that always finds a way and seeps in. The constant drama dodging song and dance. I would even go so far to say I prefer years where we don't hear much from her all as opposed to the ones we actually do. But that's not necessarily true because she's just as present those years too.

Don'tFeedtheTrolls got me thinking....

So Her last blog got me thinking, my friends are wonderful at buying things for my kids, but her blog is about her sister. This made me think about my sisters, who generally are hot messes at Christmas time. My step sister has 3 kids and I have BD, SS & SD to buy for so we just don't do gifts between our families it's too much financially right now. My younger sister on the other hand is a hilariously bad gift giver. For BD's 1st Christmas she gave her a jawbreaker the size of her head (she was 4 months old). She said she thought she could "teeth" on it.

OT-My 74 year old Grandmother is a bada$$

Every year for as long as I can remember my grandmother has delivered a flawless Thanksgiving meal. This year, I'm cooking my first Thanksgiving meal, which I've pre-prepped most of today because I can't imagine doing it all in the same day and she's like "I'm just chillin". I've called her like 80 million times and she's like yeah, I'm thinking about putting a few things together-and she's serving 2x more people than I am.

I home I'm as chill at Thanksgiving at her age. Shoutout to all the Turkey Day QB's ya'll the real heros.

Happy thanksgiving STalkers!

OT-Deer meat recipies

SO got a deer this morning (while I was happy for him on the phone-I don't like deer meat-it's game-y). So now I'm about to have a hacked up Bambi in my fridge which I will be expected to turn into some form of edible food.

Do any of you have any recipe's to help me make sure this poor thing doesn't go to waste?

O/T-as if 2 BM's isn't enough...

My cousin Lena, who I posted about and removed a while back is driving me batty.

Slight backstory-Lena is my paternal cousin. Uncle Jackass is my maternal uncle. They are together. Engaged to be exact.

Uncle Jackass has been married 3 times prior. His 2nd marriage yielded 3 (now adult) children and his 3rd marriage 2 children ages 10 and 13.

The 10 & 13 year olds have visitation with Uncle Jackass 49/50 in favor of ex #3. They reside with my cousin Lena and her two children ages 5 and 12.

Costumes!

Soooo what is everybody dressing up as tonight?

I personally am going to be a mom-bie. In preparation I have decided to don my regular leggings, fuzzy socks and coffee stained oversized sweatshirt. I also am using this as an excuse not to brush my hair. And yes-ive attended 2 meetings already (via phone).

SS & BD are going as Batman and Robin. They do a skit. Its cute.
