With very little fan fair- the oldest turned 18 yesterday!

We had the family "party" on Sunday which consisted of cake, icecream and her unwrapping the luggage as her present, finding it already packed with all her crap. She started crap immediately, that it was rude, mean, degrading etc. Further proof that "I" kicked her out.

MIL told her to shut up, that DH and BIL both got luggage on their 18th birthday from MIL and FIL and at 18 you need to get the hell out of your parents house and get your own life. Took the wind right out of her sails.

After dinner last night DH and I sat down on the porch to talk. This is our "adult time" and his children are not supposed to interupt it unless something is on fire or one of them is profusely bleeding. It's a 30 minute period where we adults get to just sit, talk to each other and unwind.

Since his kids got themselves into a load of crap the behavior of the younger three has improved, however there is still a lot more room for improvement. Subject during adult time that DH brought up was getting his kids cell phones again.

And DH's oldest is 18!

In a way I almost feel bad. He asked what we were doing Sunday and I told him throwing a party.

"Oh she will like that!"

Eh, I was throwing myself a party of thank GOD one is grown and gone. Not so much a birthday party. Guess I am stuck now throwing a bday party... since he did not pick up on the sarcasm in my tone.

Wanted to take a moment and thank you ladies for your prayers and good wishes on Friday.

When I first started coming here it was a place to vent and metaphorically throw things and have my little tantrums because Lord knows doing it at home never did any good.

It is nice to know that more than a place to vent, this is a community where we fine other frustrated souls, become friends and come together as a true community.

Thats me.

Four days of DH and his three youngest waiting on me hand and foot. Never once filled a coffee cup, fetched my own slippers, etc. The three youngest were really good.

SD17,eh, to hear her side of it I got into a car accident Friday morning specifically so she could not spend time with her siblings and father that evening.

Back to work as of today, doc says its ok even if my boss is giving me flak about it Blum 3

You know that feeling that you get... when you realise your boss really and truly has your back?

Throughout this ordeal with DH's kids and BM, my boss has been great. She never questioned why I needed time off, sometimes at a moments notice. Never got onto me even when my ppo bank was empty, and there was a full day of court ahead of me without time off in the bank.

DH got a call from BM's parents a short while ago. Apparently they paid her June and July rent, but can not afford to cover her any further let alone for the 3-6 months she will still be in lockup.

They first wanted to know if he could help them move her stuff.
No.
Dh clarified to them that if he did, it could violated the RO as "third party contact" or frankly BM would just accuse him of stealing her stuff and he was not going to place himself in that position.
