My evening

EvilAngel's picture

Yesterday I came into work around 7 and then left the office about 1. Went home, let the dogs out, washed the dishes, cleaned the house (his dog sheds like CRAZY and I hate it!), finished the laundry then decided to do a little work from home. Around 4:15 I made DH and I a salad to have for dinner because we still had to go get some things from the other house and drop by to give some food to Thunderfoot. DH gets home around 5:15 and we left for the house. The other house is about 10 minutes from where we are now, we grabbed a few items and went to the in laws.

Tell me if this is too much.

It could very well be. This is the list of rules that I have come up with for the new house...MY house...for Thunderfoot (and Softheart should they apply). She had rules that DH made up at the old house and NEVER abided by them. I never said anything to her...I would just go to DH and bitch about what she NEVER did. What was the point in making rules if she wasn't going to follow them and he wasn't going to make her? These are MINE and she WILL follow them or there will be consequences. I am not allowing this kid to become any lazier than she already is!

O/T This Frizzy Hair!

I can't STAND IT! My hair HATES humidity. I can have it perfectly smooth, step outside and BOOM! Looks a hot mess. I have tried everything I can think of other than buying a straightening product to just permanently make it NOT look like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket. Any ladies out there have this problem and some advice???

Chalkboard paint

So after my post about the chalkboard paint, I mentioned to DH that I've heard it was a pain to cover and would rather have 1.a dry erase board 2.dry erase paint. He said, "We don't have to cover it when we move and you can do a lot more with chalk than dry erase markers. I will just get a chalkboard if you don't like that paint." First of all, yes I would cover that paint. It wasn't originally here and that's the right thing to do. Secondly I don't draw so who cares? Once again...all about Thunderfoot.

Is it a bad thing

when your 13 yr old SD texts you and says, "I got you an anniversary gift and you are going to LOVE it. Do you like Pinot or Chardonnay?" HAHAHA! I don't know WHERE she is getting the money to buy said wine but I am assuming BM is getting it for her for me.

Not on my walls

DH called and told me that he was picking up paint for a job he is working on and saw chalkboard paint and thought that I might like some to paint on one of the kitchen walls. I told him that would be a cool idea. We could paint a little section for notes or a grocery list or whatever. Then he said, "And Thunderfoot could draw some of her artwork on it." No she can't. First off, that means she would be hanging out in the kitchen with me while she is drawing her "artwork" (AKA cartoons) and secondly, I don't want to have to look at that shit all the time.

Don't know how this is going to go over.

I talked to Softheart last night on the phone. She hasn't been over in a few weeks so she just wanted to call and say hi and that she was really excited about the new house. We were just chatting and she mentioned something about not having any money for new school clothes. She said that her gma (BMs mom) said she would try to get her one outfit. DH pays CS. I know that BM uses it as weekend party money because every time she wants it, she always makes some comment about him mailing it so she will have it for the weekend. They don't have a court order...just an amount they have agreed on.
