We have a plan - for ASS

last night was our appointment with Therapist. DH said he didn't want to go because while he had formulated "the plan" in his head, he hadn't yet spoken about it to ASS. I told him that having the plan was good enough and this way we could run it by Therapist to see if it was good to go or needed to be tweaked a little bit.

Here is the plan -

Option 1 - go to college, which will involve ASS taking out loans and DH contributing what will amount to about 1/3 of the cost.

For Mon - an ASS update

the update is that there is nothing to report.

I haven't seen ASS in several days now, as he isn't awake when I first go downstairs in the morning and he has already left for school by the time I come downstairs to head to work.

He goes to the library after school (computer access there) and doesn't come home until after DH and I have headed up to bed.

Well, ladies and gents, today is the day.

ASS turns 18.

DH and I had a loooooong conversation last night about what to do about ASS'S disrespect and obstinance not that he is an adult.

Resolved - if ASS so much as opens his mouth to say "I am an adult, you can't insert thing here" he will be out the door. Done with school or not done with school. He will be shipped of to DH's parents.

We shall see, folks, we shall see.

that over the weekend, during the drive home from band festival which resulted in DH learning of ASS'S grand plan, the following conversation also took place -

DH - so, what's the deal with you putting your clothes all over the floor instead of your dresser?
ASS - the dresser makes my clothes smell funny
DH - I don't think that's the dresser, ASS, I think that is either all the garbage on the floor, all the dirty clothes everywhere, or it's YOU. That's what happens when you believe that showers are optional.

Update on ASS’s “plan.”

So, Band Festival was on Saturday and DH had to drive ASS home from the high school where it was held. Said high school was about an hour away. Saturday night, I asked DH if any conversations had taken place – my way of gently reminding him that he has a Therapist assignment – and he said that yes, he and ASS had a little talk on the way home.

Me – oh, good, so you two are working on the exit plan?

DH – well, sort of.

Me – mmm hhhmmm, what does that mean?

Guilt, guilt and more guilt - sigh...

Last night at Jeanette’s was interesting. The focus of the session was why DH is stuck wishing and hoping that ASS will go to college, when ASS has made it clear that he won’t go unless someone else pays the entire cost. Therapist has been asking him to come up with the exit plan for a long time now, and DH has not done so, mostly because he has his head in the sand and doesn’t feel like “kicking ASS out of the house” is the right thing to do.

So, last week, I sent Mustang the link to the Mustang that Medusa has for sale….over the weekend, Mustang had a little fun with Medusa and Lurch. Mustang and I debated which one of us was going to post the story for your enjoyment, and because she has a very busy day, we decided that I would do it.

Just got this email from Perfect Paralegal -

Good afternoon,

After discussing the mustang sale issue, we have concurred within the office that we should take a stab at filing an emergency motion for an ex parte order to halt the sale/transfer/disposal of the mustang, and a corresponding motion for hearing on the regular docket for entry of a lien against the mustang correlating to the child support lien and requesting the mustang be sold via receiver or auction to take the control out of her hands.

OH, FFS!!!!!

When DH and Medusa were married, DH bought a very expensive Shelby Mustang. He was awarded it in the divorce, but before things were finalized, she and her then f*ck buddy went to the storage space, pretended like he was DH, said they had lost the key and stole it back.

The judge wouldn't order her to give it back but instead ordered her to offset it with the financial settlement. DH wanted the damn car, but lost the argument because uterus.
