O/T - This is getting bad. I am not sure how to support DW or what to do.

I have shared that my DW is in a toxic work environment.  She has been for several years. She will absolutely not do anything about it.

She is brilliant. A graduate degreed CPA. The job market for CPAs is wide open and HOT and even with doing nothing but clicking one field on her LinkedIn she has had 3 interviews and two job offers.

Yet... she continues to jeopardize her physical health, mental health, relationships, professional health, and happiness because 'Who is going to take care of my clients and keep the firm profitable if I leave?'

DW got a another offer.

This one is exceptionally strong. 40% increase in base, no more than 55hrs a week during tax season.  Hybrid office policy. 2 days a week at the office, 3 officing from home.

A slightly different role and clientel.  The offer is verbal. The written will come after the 1st of the year.

She indicates that she will apply for a couple of corporate roles this week and next.

Phew.  It looks like she may get out of working herself to exhaustion sooner rather than later.

This week has had some great stuff.

1.  My likely BiPolar and regularly admitted on the the Autism spectrum #2 signed an offer this week for his next role.  His first day in his new role and no longer in my org is 12/25/2022. As I said, Merry Christmas to me.

It is a game. It has to be.

Taking this rediculous shit too seriously will drive us nuts.

So, recognize how pathetic 'they' all are. Highlight that reality for ourselves, keep their noses rubbed in the stench they emmit, and keep the chess pieces well monitored and played.

Win the game STalkers!

The hard part is that for some, the game never ends.

IMHO of course.

DW spent the day with her eldest niece on Friday. UPDATE.

This is the one that according to my BIL1 and his wife moved out at 18 due to refusal to follow the household rules.  There are three other younger girls in their home. Their 11yo and their two 10yo twins.

Eldest niece (18) is living with her 19yo BF and his "family".  From the descrption of this situation it is not a family home, it is a flop house for transient residents.  Residents include BF, one or more of his parents, cousins, friends, distant relatives, many with drug and other criminal issues.

New information.

Just when you think that one may break the cycle ..... nope.

Apparently not.

My DW flew home to SpermLand yesterday AM to visit my IL clan and have their post TG, TG celebration as a family today.

I was so hopeful that it would be a drama free experience for my amazing bride.  She has not been home other than for her cousin's funeral for 2+ years.

I had commented recently in conversation with my bride  that our eldest niece, of 6 in DW's family, had been notably absent in any FB activity or talks that DW has had with my MIL, her sibs, etc...
