Ten Year Update if anyone remembers me!!!!!

It has been ten long years since I have been on this website.  I figured I would give an update and give everyone some hope.

Sorry if this is all over the place!!!

I started reading some of my old blogs and I cringed.  I feel like I was being a petty a hole and of course at the time my feelings were definitely real but I still feel bad that I even felt that way.

I managed to fix my laptop so I am back in commission. Here's a little update on life. SD turned 17 today. I haven't seen her all day because her bf picked her up at school and took her to dinner and to his house. I was nice and I texted her happy birthday which is more than she has ever done for me. She said that we are all going to MIL's house on Saturday afternoon to celebrate her birthday but DD11 has a soccer game so little does anyone know, we will not be attending.

My laptop died and I have not been on here in forever!!

So on the last day of school I dropped off SD16 at BM's mothers house for the summer!! I didn't get two miles away and she is already texting me a list of stuff she forgot to bring like her phone charger, ipod charger and laptop charger. Big surprise!

I only heard from her a couple of times asking stupid questions but other than that I am in heaven without her!! I wish it could be this way all the time.

So remember the other night when SD16 refused to eat dinner? She waited until DH walked in the door from work and of course came creeping up the stairs. He had just walked in the bathroom and she got stuck with me in the kitchen. She did her fake nice voice because she probably thought DH was listening. I walked away. She got out the frying pan and made herself a fried ham and cheese sandwich, then left the kitchen a big mess. Well now its Friday and her dirty frying pan and utensils are still where she left them.

Update to the baby duck

So I ended up calling a wild bird rehabilitator in my area. I know her because 2 years ago a baby English sparrow flew inside of my car and broke his wing. She kept her for 2 weeks and gave her back to me so I still have her.

So anyway she said that the baby duck really needed to be with other baby ducks and not all alone. She also said it will get too used to people. I brought it over to her and she had a whole bunch of baby ducks. She had 11 baby wood ducks and one baby mallard which is what I had. She was also waiting for someone to bring over 4 baby mallards.

O/T Anyone have experience raising a baby duck??

Yesterday morning my DH called me in a panic. He was on a busy highway and there was a baby duck running in and out from underneath peoples cars. A huge oil tanker stopped traffic because he spotted it. DH jumped out of his van and chased this poor little thing until he caught it. There were no other ducks in sight. DH drove around for a couple of hours looking for its family but its a big industrial area so its just trucks everywhere. He brought me the baby duck and I went and bought it a heat lamp and some food from the local feed store.

Ok so I ended up making a comment to DH about how SD16 totally deflected the report card situation to BM. He says no but whatever. He just called me from work a few minutes ago and asked me to print out SD's last progress reports and last report card from a few months ago. She still hasn't given him the new report card.

This is what happened to me today! It was not funny at the time but I guess I can laugh about it now!!

BD4 does not go to preschool on Tuesdays so we decided to take one of the pugs to the pet store to walk around and maybe pick out a little toy.

We get inside, walk around and then little puggy does a huge, wet, stinky poo on the floor. Before I could open my mouth, BD4 steps in it with her sneakers!!! This is not the normal pet store we go to so we had to walk around the entire store looking for the clean up station, all the while BD4 is tracking poop thru the store!!
