waiting for the other shoe to drop

Three days til Christmas and I have NO idea if SD15 is going to be visiting for any part of the holiday.

I'm fighting off the knots in my stomach about the impending doom a visit will bring. I'm sure all current plans will be thrown out the window if SD decides to grace us with her presence. My baby brother is on a church mission and only gets to call home twice a year. The time for the call has been set for Christmas morning so the whole family can talk to him. I'm absolutely sure that will be the time SD will needs to be picked up and BF will want to take her to MIL's.

on again, off again visit

BF received a voicemail yesterday afternoon from SD15 asking him to call her. BF called her back and let her know if she was interested, we were doing T-day at MIL at 2 and if she wanted to come to call him back. No return call, and BF constantly checked the phone up until we left to go to MIL's house today. We never have SD for Thanksgiving and even if we were actually following the EOW schedule, this isn't our weekend. Not like this matters, or that my opinion that she shouldn't be allowed to manipulate holidays matter.

How many shopping days till Christmas......?

Crayon's blog on Gratuitious visits in preparation for a birthday got me thinking. SD15 hasn't seen or spoken to BF in six months-- since he found out she flunked the ENTIRE (including PE) 9th grade. (No- we don't get copies of grades, BM won't give us password to on-line grades, BM won't let BF go to PT conferences so it was a bit of a shock to learn at the end of the school year that she has flunked not just a few classes, but many over the course of the entire school year. Probably several grades for all we know.)
