When do we all decide to take back who we are or were!!!(LONG)

Ladies....I have been in most of your shoes about the last 3 yrs. I felt defeated! I felt like taking my own child and running to the other side the world! I wanted to hit someone or the most run them over! I wanted to scream so loud that the whole neighborhood knew it was me! I wanted to give my SD10 the ass whipping I believe she needs...sorry if most of you don't agree but I got one when I was young and I turned out just fine...as a matter of fact my own 3 kids get it when they need it.

Rules Chart!

I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks but decided to post how making my rules and consequence chart went.....so far....AMAZING!
it was almost like dad didn't know how to parent...he has told me repeatedly over the last few weeks how those charts have helped him as much as it has helped the kids.Don't get me wrong everything isn't "fixed" but a dramatic difference.

Should I make a rule and consequence chart!?

Just wondering if anyone has tried this. I am thinking of a big bright poster size chart with rules of this home and consequences for breaking them! Seems 2 kids in this house know the rules but the SD10(other 2 are my D9 and his son 13)can't ever remember them...no let me say I know she knows them just chooses to break any or all of them. So with this big poster no more fighting with dad over what the punishment will be if such and such is done. Or for that matter not done
Example:

OMG!!! HERE WE GO AGAIN!

So I have been trying for 2 yrs to show him that the path(or example)he is making for his daughter is gonna lead down the wrong one.
Why can't he see what he is doing is insane?!?!?!
So ladies....this child pushes all the buttons she can....example...the tv is to go out every night weekend or not at 9pm. I had to make this rule because it would stay on all night and she used the light of that tv to do as she pleased in her room...painting nails in bed blah blah.

Things are gonna change!

Smile As hard as it was for me...my little foot was put down and no more will I take! Some little lightbulb came on in my head. I realized(with alot of talking to myself) that I DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE THIS WAY! I was choosing to live this way!
Basically my stepdaughter was running my home....NOW I AM!

Has anyone on this site been in the situation of no mother in the picture...you are the mother figure...father not doing his part...child ruining your relationship...etc as we all talk about.....anyone had it work for you....has anyone gotten the father to step up and realize what he is doing isnt right...has he opened his eyes to see what he is doing for his child isnt helping her but in the long run hurting her?
Just a thought..doesnt hurt to ask....weighing my options!

I am so glad to have found this site....you ladies as I read through..havent gotten far because I cant stop reading the new things...but as I read through I realize I am not alone. But you ladies have gave me lots of insight to see that I can stand up for what I believe in.....I have my whole life not just in this relationship let people walk over me...I dont know what I was afraid of but fear itself.

If I am the adult why do I feel like a child runs my house!

Sad So my stepchild(not really her father and I aren't married)but been the only mother in her life for 2 years....Why is it or should I say how is it that an almost 11 yr old girl could be making my life and home hell! I am the adult here but I feel I have lost control.

So my story started about 3 yrs ago. I was recently split up from my husband...and still am today. It was my decision as I couldnt live the way he wanted to live...end of story.
I have 3 children of my own...2 boys...20&18 and a daughter who is almost 10.Only the daughter is by my ex...as I had my children way to young
