Update we picked up SD on December 27th at 6:00PM...she was a total handful until we dropped her off on January 2, 2011. It was not a great time..she was disrespectful, rude, mean, bossy and just a total brat. What bothers me the most is that SD told us she had a lousy Christmas with her BM & family. She couldnt wait to see us and bam..she is a total brat...what the heck happened?? I'm a a loss for words, she was rolling her eyes at us, smirking and laughing when we were giving her hell about her behaviour..

Our night to have the skids this week was last night (Monday), then not until the weekend. The other day BM asked if we could take them on Wednesday night this week as well. She offered to switch days but we told her that we'd just take them the extra day.

Then yesterday at work, DF found out he had to stay late, and that he would be needing to go into work at 5:30 this morning. So he thought he'd just see if BM had plans and would indeed want to switch with him. She told him that she's not feeling good and would be going to bed right after she got home from work.

I have been lurking on your boards reading your posts and advice to each other and I am very interested in what your opinions for my situation would be.

and all i can think of is how bm might fuck it up.
Im excited and everything and stressed trying to get the last few things sorted but we havent told bm the date we just going to tell her that ss cant be with us on that date.But FDH wants to tell her why but I dont want him to she doesnt have to know right?

Christmas was chaotic and not really enjoyable. We had all four kids and DH and I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas night at each other's throats, we almost called it quits the morning after Christmas and didn't really get 'back on track' until December 27th. There were several things that contributed to this crappy week.

1) Being broke - DH is still out of work yet we both feel the need to buy the kids more than we can honestly afford to so that they don't feel the pinch.

Crazy biomom has finally been noticed to be crazy by her own biomom. Apparently she has refused visitation of the skids to her just like DH and so she is going to get involved. It's about time someone else noticed the insane amount of mental abuse going on with my little skids at their biomom house. Court is tomorrow. Hopefully we will have a lawyer good enough this time to get everything out on the table. Unfortunately, our attorney even mentioned that this chancery judge doesn't follow rules, or the law.

Is it ok for a BM to spend all her money on herself and other kid and not Skids? My skids got $20 for Christmas from their BM and had to wait for that for a week. BM spent 2hrs with them the whole 2 week break. Seriously!! It happens every year to them. I can't stand to look at their sad faces. Breaks my heart. I don't like that they have to deal with their selfish mother and then try to defend her actions.

What wonderful qualities BM teaches SD, insert all intended sarcasm please. I really have to wonder just what BM and apparently her entire family is thinking. Dh and I just found out SD16 has had a hidden FB account for a year and a half, She has friended BM, SF, and her maternal aunts from this account. SD lied about it when asked by DH (three times) then said BM told her it was okay to open since at the time (summer 2009) and periodically since SD has lost FB due to inappropriate behavior. Really? Its okay to sneak & lie… is this really the type of kid you want, BM?
