Just Wondering...

Have any of you ever told your SKids not to come back? Or "if you don't like it, leave"? And what happened with that? How old were they?

I keep wondering if/when we'll get to that point with SS10-- it's early, I know, but I just see it happening.

I know this is a natural part of blended familes, but SS10s loyalty to his mom is disgusting. He continually tells her things that happen here and she will shoot off a text or email admonishing us for said things. (DH has them Every Weekend)

"too much red food dye"

"not enough sun screen"

"too much sugar"

"we didn't do enough activities"

"don't let the kids share clothes with her kids"

the list goes on.

Drop off Anxiety #1

So I blogged a day or so ago about having TERRIBLE anxiety at drop off. So I tried some of your suggestions and I gotta tell ya, I'm HELLA happy with the results.

SS10 the Thorn in my Side

It's Friday. It's Anxiety day. It's the day when all 6 kids are with us at once. My two plus his four. We live in a small two bedroom apartment (for the time being-- moving in November) and we have made it work up to this point.

BMs Paranoid

I can't even.

Ever since DH pretty much went Gray Rock with BM, she has been a nightmare.

Lice and the NarcBioMom

Never dealt with lice before. I'm 35 and I only got it once LAST YEAR. No big deal.

My skids get it.

all. the. time.

No big deal. I realize that's it's not necessarily a hygiene thing.

Anxiety At Drop Off

I am at a loss.

I feel like my anxiety is getting worse and worse. I feel like it should be getting better as DH and I have gone "gray rock" with BM, and she's been quiet lately; We don't engage with her (beyond what's necessary) but it seems like each week, when she drops the skids off, I get this DEBILITATING anxiety. It takes me a good 1-2 hours to get rid of the pounding heart and then I replay the drop off in my head for the next day. So all in all, I am affected for a good 24 hours.
